When he crossed the river every morning and evening, an old man with a white beard would come and carry him on his back willingly and obediently. As time went on, Bai Shilang's mother felt strange and asked her son, "Why don't you cross the river without wetting your shoes or getting your feet cold?" Bai Shilang told her, "Every day an old man carries me across the river." When the mother heard this, she told Bai Shilang, "Tomorrow you ask the old man why he carries you across the river."
When he crossed the river the next morning, Bai Shilang asked the old man in detail, and the old man said, "My royal majesty, you are the true son of God, and the emperor of heaven has sent me to serve you as an errand boy, so that in twenty years' time you will be the king of the people and the landowner of a dynasty."
Bai Shilang went home and smugly told his mother, who was so excited that she looked forward to her son being the emperor every day. Every day when she was cooking under the stove, she used a burning stick to knock on the statue of Zaowangjie to recite, "Zaowangjie you listen: if my son becomes the emperor, I am avenging any hatred, and avenging any injustice." For three meals a day, she knocked on the Zaowang master and said it three times.
On the twenty-third day of the Lunar New Year, Master Zao was going up to heaven to report to the Jade Emperor on the good and evil on earth, and he truthfully made a report to the Jade Emperor on the words and deeds of Bai Shilang's mother. The old man told him, next June 6, if there is a rainstorm, remember: "Close your mouth tightly, bite your teeth, although the dragon tendons were drawn, can no longer be a human master, can still leave a golden mouth and jade teeth. I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to do, but I'm going to be able to do it," he said, "I'm going to have to do it.
Don't forget." Bai Shilang finally asked the old man who he was, so that he could remember his kindness, and the old man said, "I am the Jade Emperor's driving front, Taibai real person is also."
On the sixth day of the sixth month of the following year, the God of Thunder and the Mother of Lightning, on the order of the Jade Emperor, came to draw the dragon's tendon of Bai's Lang. On this day, Bai's Lang closed his mouth and clenched his teeth as Tai Bai Jin Xing had instructed him. After a sharp burst of thunder and lightning, Bai's Lang fell limp to the ground as he struggled to keep his golden mouth and teeth.
After Bai's Lang recovered physically, he hated Zao Wang, and thought, "I also have the spirit of the golden mouth and jade teeth, and when I say so, he found a gourd and wanted to put Zao Wang into the gourd, so that he could never come out. So he took the head of the gourd in his hand, and went to the idol of Zao Wang, and cried out, "Zao Wang Mao Shen, put it into the gourd." When Bai's Lang saw that his golden mouth was really effective, he thought, "All these little hairy gods in the world are no good, and he vowed that he would put all these little hairy gods into the gourd, so that he could also get rid of the resentment of being cramped.
So he went all the way north from Jiangxi, loaded as he went, all the gods in Jiangnan, none of them escaped. Later, he heard that the old granny of Taishan had Taoism and was very spiritual, so he was ruthless again and loaded up the old granny of Taishan again.
As soon as Bai Shilang went to Taishan, the old granny pinpointed it, and she made some ingenious arrangements. Taishan in June, under the sun's exposure, hot and dry, the stream is so dry that there is not even a little water. Bai Shilang carried the big gourd he had loaded with gods on his back and trudged up the mountain path, his thirst and tongue dry, his throat on the verge of smoldering.
At that moment, suddenly an old, gray-haired grandmother, carrying a bucket of water, came down the mountain. When Bai Shilang saw the water, how could he not drink it? He saluted forward and asked the old mother to give him a mouthful of water to drink; the old mother refused to give him any because of the lack of water due to the heat of Mount Tai. He begged again and again, and the old mother said, "If you want to drink the water, you must kowtow to me and call me your mother three times before you can do so."
Bai Shilang really got down on the ground, kowtowed, shouted three times for his own mother, and got down on the bucket of water and drank his fill. Old Sister said, "Bai Shilang you drink my water, but do not forget that I am your mother ah!" Bai Shilang thanked again and again full of promise.
Drinking enough water, Bai Shilang had the strength to go up to the top of Mount Tai in one breath, to go to the Bixia Palace to pretend to be the old grandmother of Mount Tai. When he walked to the god seat, pulling the gourd plug to pretend to be a god, he heard Bixia Yuanjun on the god seat shouted, "Bai's Lang, ? Bai's Lang, you are ungrateful and bereft of conscience, take the gourd and load your mother."
Bai's Lang looked up and saw that the god seat was sitting on the very same old Sister who he had kowtowed to and asked his mother to give him water. If he really loaded her, wouldn't that be ungrateful? He was so angry and remorseful that he threw the god-loading gourd in his hand to the ground and broke it into pieces.
Those who were loaded with the god, then saw the light, released from the detention, climbed up, up and down to Taishan Mountain, fleeing in all directions. These fleeing gods, one by one on Taishan Mountain, so that, to this day, the gods of Taishan Mountain, only more than a full mile!
