Shanghai Impression

Because I led a team to Shanghai Fudan University for a week-long LinkedIn talent training, I came to the Oriental metropolis Shanghai again. In my memory, this is the fourth time I have come to Shanghai for training at Fudan University in recent years. In the past years when I came to Shanghai for study and training, there are two things that impressed me most. One was that after studying and inspecting Shanghai, I went to Ningbo. At that time, in order to find the right intersection to get off and then go to Ningbo, we went up and down the Yan'an Elevated Expressway four or five times before finally finding the expressway intersection. At that time, we felt that Shanghai was really too big; the second thing was the buses in Shanghai. Traveling is so convenient. We took the subway to where we wanted to go almost every afternoon during our study week. The bus transportation has done a lot to alleviate the traffic pressure in Shanghai.

The impression of a city is the impression of urban architecture, regional culture and humanistic landscape. I believe that everyone who has been to Shanghai must have a deep impression of the city. The majesty of the Oriental Pearl Tower, the Bund The lights of the City God's Temple are dim, the people on Nanjing Road are coming and going, and there are many other impressions of one kind or another.

Shanghai is a busy city.

When we go to Shanghai, whether we are walking on the streets, or going deep into high-rise buildings, whether we are riding the subway with the bustling crowd, or driving into the traffic flow of the viaduct, you can experience it. The first is busyness. Cars were coming and going on the road, the crowds were moving in a hurry, and no one was walking slowly. The fast pace of life and high efficiency of work are the biggest differences between Shanghai and small and medium-sized cities like us. What particularly impressed me was the visit to Shanghai Industrial Urban Development Investment Company. The training organizer of Fudan University contacted us for a one-hour visit and study. After the Shanghai Industrial Urban Development Group introduced the situation, we had many students We wanted to ask questions, but after one hour, the person stopped answering questions, and our visit and study ended here. Although it is a bit regretful, I have fully realized that a large company like Shanghai has a strong sense of time, and at the same time I can appreciate how busy they are at work.

Shanghai is an exquisite city.

I remember that I came to Shanghai to study urban management more than 20 years ago. My impression of Shanghai was that there were so many high-rise buildings in the city. After training and studying in Shanghai in recent years, I have more time to go deep into the streets and alleys of the city to savor the city, and I found that it is a particularly exquisite city, and her exquisiteness is revealed in every detail of it. Walking on the street, we often see a lady over fifty years old, riding a dilapidated bicycle. If you look at her in person, her hair is not messy, she wears light but delicate makeup, and her feet are The leather shoes on her clothes were polished spotlessly, and her eyes revealed elegance and calmness. Every inch of land in Shanghai is precious, and Shanghainese's lives are stressful, but they have not made their lives "sloppy" because of this, but are full of "poetry".

Shanghai’s architecture is also exquisite everywhere. When the night darkens the color of the Huangpu River, the buildings in Pudong are like the stars on the other side of the Milky Way, one after another put on gorgeous neon clothes, showing off to their fullest The unique beauty of modern architecture, composed of well-proportioned and exquisitely orderly buildings of different shapes, complement each other with the ancient European-style buildings in Puxi behind them. They are separated by a river and record the vicissitudes of a century in their own way.

Shanghai’s ecological construction in recent years also reflects the exquisite and unique planning and design. The first two times I went to Shanghai for training were both at the Minhang District Party School. Every morning when I ran in the morning, I could feel the results of Shanghai's exquisite ecological construction. The former smelly ditch has been transformed into a river that circles the city. There are walking trails and There are green landscape belts and small neighborhood parks for citizens to relax. This time I came to Shanghai and stayed in Wujiaochang near Fudan University. I found that even the green belts had stone benches for people to rest, and landscapes were designed at road overpasses. and leisure squares, effectively combining artistry and practicality to make the city more refined. Some building facades are decorated with green plants, which are ecological and aesthetic. I noticed that most of the fences at construction sites are made of green plants, which looks particularly ecological and environmentally friendly.

Shanghai is a city with historical heritage.

In the old days, Shanghai was always dubbed "Ten Miles Foreign Market", "Oriental Paris", and "The First City in the Far East". The most prosperous time in Shanghai was during the Republic of China. The old Shanghai at that time was classic. And beautiful. Shanghai is a national historical city. The famous City God Temple is located in the most prosperous Huangpu District in Shanghai. It is an important Taoist temple in Shanghai. It was built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of nearly 600 years. Years ago, Shanghai was a place of luxury and glamour. The "Parlem" Ballroom at that time was known as the "No. 1 Music House in the Far East", and the "Big World" was the most famous entertainment center in China at that time. Old Shanghai has its own unique history. And style. Its style is not just about clothing, bungalows and alleys are interspersed throughout the city. I remember Wang Anyi wrote about Shanghai’s alleys in Song of Everlasting Sorrow: “Looking at Shanghai from a commanding height, Shanghai’s alleys are a spectacular sight. It is the hope of this urban background. Streets and buildings protrude above it, some dots and lines, and it is the kind of brushstrokes called by the Chinese painting, which fills in the blanks. When it gets dark and the lights turn on, these points and lines are all illuminated. Behind the light, the vast tracts of darkness are the alleys of Shanghai."

Old-fashioned bungalows can be seen everywhere in Shanghai. When you walk on the streets, especially on the Bund, you often see many unique Western-style buildings. In many neighborhoods such as Wukang Road, there are still many places with unique garden houses in old Shanghai. When visiting Shikumen and Tianzifang in the new century, when you see those low Shikumen buildings and the photos of beauties with red lips, raised eyebrows, and wavy hair from the Republic of China on the walls, you can see the charm of that era. In miniature, the songs of "Shanghai at Night" and "Singing Girl from the End of the World" are echoed, and the unique and beautiful stories of that era that remain in people's hearts come to mind. In addition to the history of the Republic of China, the "National Congress Site" still remains. , "Song Qingling's Former Residence", "Ba Jin's Former Residence" and "Lu Xun's Former Residence" will also remind us of the history of the Chinese revolution and the struggle of the Communist Party of China. Our impression of a city must be measured through our footsteps. You will get it through the streets and alleys, walking in the narrow blocks shaded by plane trees, seeing the traces of history, listening to the music from the alleys, and recalling the smell of the dim lamplight from the ancient rooms next to the street. Some different insights, I feel that time is like a ruthless paintbrush, changing one era after another. Every time a new stroke is added, the old one will be erased. People will always miss the old things, and the memory of history will be changed by This has become unforgettable and beautiful.

Shanghai is an inclusive city.

People always say that Shenzhen is an inclusive city, but in fact, Shanghai is also a very inclusive city.
