Lowbrow Fiction

Lowbrow is structured in segments, with four stories in one ****. White is the clue character throughout the play, but it is not rigorous to say so. Because he is an important character in the first few stories, but in the third story "The Golden Watch" is just a soy sauce character, not even a line before being shot dead. Four stories independent of each other narrative integrity, the existence of White let the four stories and string together, and the last story and the beginning of the echo formed a closed loop. This is Quentin's ring narrative.

The killers, White and Black, carry out the boss's orders to get rid of those who have screwed the boss and retrieve the boss's box.

In the midst of a nonsensical meal of nonsense, we can hear that White is next going to have fun with the boss's woman. White, of course, is resistant. (Because dabbling with the boss's women is a dead giveaway. For example, Man's wife seduced Shin in Gunfire, and Old Ghost was ordered to get rid of Shin, while the boss disposed of his own wife.) Sure enough, Blackie says that the last person to have fun with the boss's woman was thrown down from the upper floors of the building by the boss and became a mute. However, White held back his excitement and followed Blackie upstairs to deal with the matter. White found the boss's suitcase and was shocked when he opened it. What did he see? In the midst of a bunch of nonsense, the man who had pitted the boss was shot in the head by Blackie. The nonsense greatly dilutes the bloodshed. For his part, Blacky chants the Bible before he kills - Jesus says that he will take revenge on anyone who hurts his brother. One can imagine he has a ritual like this before every kill.

Suddenly a man rushes out from outside and fires a volley of shots at Blacky and White, both missing! The man who fired the shots naturally died, but Xiao Hei was convinced that it was a miracle, he might have been possessed by Lu Zhishen at that moment, and he planned to resign from the boss. But on the way, Blacky misses and kills the only surviving person on the other side. The man died in the car, and running into the police would be unthinkable. So Blackie arrives at his best friend Quentin's house and asks the Boss for help. The boss sent the respected old wolf to help, the old wolf let the black and white will be cleaned the car, and let Quentin prepare sheets used to cover the leather seats, and finally the water gun to clean the two.

The two arrive at a cafe for breakfast, only to run into a pair of brainy females and males coming to rob the place. (Why a cafe? Because Quentin wrote his screenplay in a cafe.) At this time, the boss's suitcase is in the hands of Blackie, who was going to return it and then leave. He took advantage of the fact that the other man was lost in opening the case to put his pistol against the robber's body. He chanted the usual scripture, but at this point it was a different scripture than one of revenge, one of helping the weak. Determined to spare the robber, he asked for his wallet back, and asked the robber to take the money from the wallet, which was money to buy compassion, to buy the other man's life from the robber, thus giving himself an excuse not to have to kill him.

This is the last story of the movie, until the end we do not know what is contained in the box, only the robber opened the face printed on the golden light let people guess is gold. But others say it's the boss's soul!

The two leave the store and return to the Boss to find him discussing a fake fight with a boxer. This is the first time White and the boxer have met. White meets with the Boss and goes to buy drugs, then smokes them at the house of a drug dealer dressed like Jesus. (All shots related to drug use are almost always close-ups.) He then drives to the boss's house, where he's ordered to hang out with the boss's wife, Xiao Mei.

The twerking dance between Mei and Bai at the Bunny's restaurant is a clip that has been enjoyed by countless people, and even if you haven't seen the movie, you've definitely seen this wonderful clip. Star paid homage to it in The Hundred Stars.

After the two danced and couldn't get enough of it, Bai kept suppressing his urges in the restroom. Who would have thought that Xiaomei saw Xiao Bai's drugs and directly inhaled them (originally for injection), so he foamed at the mouth and went into cardiac arrest. Bai sends him to Jesus' house, who unexpectedly Jesus also doesn't know how to give adrenaline and has to look up books. Vincent stuck the needle in the heart and Mei came back from the dead. (The lancing is played backwards.)

When Xiao Mei washes up and goes home, she tells Bai the harmonic stems joke that she told when she was an actress in a play. Why did she say it? Is it because she feels that the two of them have an unspoken understanding, or is her heart moved to look at you and cherish you?

There's also the fact that Quentin is definitely a foot person, because Mei is always barefoot.

And finally the story of the boxer who negotiated a fake fight with his boss. He didn't fight a fake fight, instead he beat his opponent to death and escaped in a cab, it turns out he was planning on retiring and negotiated a deal with someone to buy himself a win, screwing the boss out of a very large sum of money. He escapes to a hotel and realizes that his girlfriend didn't bring his gold watch, which is his family heirloom. It had traveled from his grandparents through two world wars and the Vietnam War, and had been tossed around many times before it came into his possession. The boxer had to venture home to get it, not realizing the danger he even had the leisure to toast two loaves of bread. Until he saw the gun on the table, picked up the gun just in time to see the killer White came out of the toilet, so a sweeping shot results in his name. He escapes and drives up to meet the Boss buying burgers. The Boss goes after him but is run over by the boxer, who also gets into an accident. The boss gets up and goes after him and the two go to a store. Instead, they are tied up together by the owner of the store, who brings in a cop. The cop, however, is a pervert who has a male pet in captivity in his basement and wants to do bad things to the Boss! The boxer sobers up and breaks free but hears the boss screaming, and after thinking about it, he goes back to the rescue. After he takes out one of the men, the Boss blasts the cop with a shotgun blast as well. The two men are free to go, and the boxer rides his Harley and takes his girlfriend with him to a faraway place.

I'm going to follow the chronological logic of this movie, not the order of the movie. The order of the movie is 1342, and he disrupts the order so that it doesn't make sense, perhaps because postmodernism wants to overthrow everything, overthrow the linear structure of the narrative, and redefine beauty. Violence and gore fill the screen, and the color red, a symbol of repression, is everywhere. But the gore is diluted by the nonsensical and playful slang. Not only is the dialog nonsensical, even the characters are a bit puzzling, in the boxer fleeing cab driver, constantly asking the boxer again what it is like to kill someone, she is not an important character, or even the most normal characters in the play, but she asked such a worrying question Quentin in the end want to express what?

The whole play "fak" and Wang Ziru against Luo Yonghao when said "ok" as much, that everyone has such a need to vent side, so the game official seal swear words, the People's Daily named the ban on insulting words! "paratroopers", should we also consider the needs of people? Otherwise, "paratroopers" two words of the creation of the meaning of the word will make it become a representative of postmodernism words.
