1, "Unity is Strength"
"Unity is Strength" was written by Mu Hong and composed by Lu Su, and was produced in June 1943 in a small village in Huangni District, Pingshan County, Jinchahi Border Region. In order to oppose the Japanese invaders who came to the border area to seize grain and carry out the crazy policy of "robbing, killing and burning everything", the Northwest Frontier Service Corps went deep into the vast countryside of Pingshan in Hebei Province and Fanshi in Shanxi Province to take part in the struggle.
In order to cooperate with this struggle, Mu Hong, together with comrade Lu Su, composed a small opera, "Unity is Strength," on the spur of the moment in about three or four days. During the rehearsal of this play, we felt that the plot was OK, but we felt that it ended somewhat abruptly and lacked a sense of termination. To synthesize everyone's suggestions, it was decided that Comrade Mu Hong would write the lyrics and Comrade Lu Su would compose the music to add an episodic finale to the play, and so the classic masterpiece, "Unity is Strength," was born.
On August 26, 2015, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT) released the results of the online voting for "My Favorite Ten Antiwar Songs", and "Unity is Strength" was one of the 10 songs selected.
2. "Guerrilla Song"
Sung by the Shanghai Orchestra, with lyrics and arrangement by He Luting, it is the theme song of the movie "Railway Guerrillas".
After the establishment of New China, "Guerrilla Song" has been widely sung in the whole army, and has been included in the songs recommended by the General Political Department to the whole army for many times, and has become the mandatory song for the Red Army's singing activities. The Guerrilla Song has also had its various adaptations, of which the Guerrilla Song as a military music is more moving.
3, "Ten send the Red Army"
Zhenba County is located at the junction of Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces, is the "hometown of folk songs", "the hometown of the Red Army", is an important part of the Sichuan-Shaanxi Revolutionary Bases. Back then, under the leadership of the Chinese **** Producers Party and the Red Army, the establishment of the county soviet regime, propaganda for the land revolution, mobilizing the masses to participate in the army and the war, the south to support the Red Army front fighting, the northern defense of the Kuomintang's attack, carried out a heroic and tenacious, arduous and desperate struggle, leaving behind the songs, shocking, light of the sun and the moon deeds. These, of necessity, must be reflected in the creation of the oral literature of the working people, especially in the ballads that the people of Bashan love and are familiar with.
The folk song "Ten Reds" is from Xixiang Street (Two Rivers), which is on the border between Zhenba and Tongjiang in Sichuan. Xixiangjie (Two Hekou) was the first town where the Red Army entered Sichuan, and it was the first county soviet - Chibei County Soviet Government - established by the Red Army in the creation of the soviets in Sichuan and Shaanxi Provinces.
4, "Red Star Song"
In the summer of 1973, Wu Dawei and Wei Baoqiu were invited by the famous composer Fu Gengchen of Bayi Film Studio to write the lyrics of the theme song for the movie "Shining Red Star". A year later, the theme song "Red Star Song" quickly became a hit in the motherland. 1981, the song won the first prize of the national children's songwriting and was compiled into the music teaching materials for elementary school students. It is a majestic children's formation song, tuned in the seven-tone scale Gong mode. The song was also adapted into the piano piece "Red Star Song" and the children's dance "Stars are Twinkling"
5, "Deep Love and Long Friendship"
1962. In 1962, the Jinan Military District Avant-garde Song and Dance Troupe created and staged a dance drama "Red Stream" depicting the Red Army's Long March across the Yi District and the seventeen warriors' crossing of the Dadu River, with the song "Deep Friendship" written by Zang Dongsheng as an interlude for the drama's second act.In 1964, Premier Zhou Enlai personally led the Chinese artists in the creation and rehearsal of the music and dance drama "The East is Red". When reviewing the program, Premier Zhou instructed that in the performance of the Red Army's Long March scene, a section should be added to reflect the Party's and the Red Army's ethnic policy when the Red Army passed through the Yi region. The director's team was in a difficult situation when someone recommended the song "Love is Deep and Friendship is Long", so the director's team chose the song and arranged for Deng Yuhua to sing it.
