Beautiful and moving folk stories in Yunnan

Yunnan has a long history, culture and beautiful natural scenery. It is one of the important cradles of human civilization. Actually there are many legends about Yunnan. The following is the legend of Yunnan that I compiled. Let's have a look.

Legend of Yunnan 1: Legend of Water in Yunnan Long ago, there was a couple at the top of the snow-capped mountain on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. They gave birth to three daughters. The elder sister's name is Kym, the second sister's name is Lancang, and the third sister's name is Nunu. All three sisters are beautiful. Big sister is hardworking and kind, gentle and kind; The second sister is generous and loyal; Third sister is arrogant and irritable. The three sisters have grown up and their parents want to marry them to the East. The elder sister said that everything was arranged by her parents, but the third sister refused and decided to marry in the south. Mother advised: "The mountains in the south are steep, so you should think more." The water spilled by the married daughter will never come back. Third sister said angrily, "I've made up my mind, and no one can stop me." As a result, my sister and sister parted ways, which made Lan Canghai very worried. She wants to marry the docile elder sister to the East, but she can't bear to part with the third sister who is not sensible. After thinking for nine days, Kuya finally said to his parents, "ABBA, AMBA, let me accompany Sanmao to the south!"! "

Three sisters got married at the same time, the sun moved away colorful silk threads, birds chirped, animals danced, trees lined up to get married, and flowers paved the way ahead. Third sister went straight south without looking back, and second sister was closely guarded by her. My sister couldn't bear to part with her two sisters and followed her for a long way to the south. Big sister still misses her parents very much, so she turned and looked into the distance. So Jinsha arrived in Shigu, Lijiang, and was blocked by Luo Haishan. The river flowed from the west and suddenly turned 90 degrees to the northeast, forming the famous first bay of the Yangtze River. When my sister Jinsha crossed the Tiger Leaping Gorge, she was stopped by two brothers, Yulong and Baja, and asked her to stay and marry her brother Yulong. The clever elder sister danced for seven days and nights, which made the two brothers ecstatic. Then, she jumped over the Tiger Leaping Gorge and headed for the place where the sun rose in the East China Sea. The mountain here is more than 4000 meters above sea level, and the river is 1 750 meters above sea level. The mountains are long and magnificent, and the elder sister rushes to Yibin, Chongqing and the Three Gorges without looking back, and finally finds the East China Sea where the sun rises. Later, the elder sister became Jinsha River, the third sister became Nujiang River, and the second sister became Lancang River.

Legend 2 of Yunnan: Nanzhao Walnut In 225 AD, Zhuge Liang led the army south. The army crossed the mountains and finally reached Dali. After a few days of fatigue, everyone is tired and thirsty. When the soldiers walked to the Roman slope, the sun had sunk into the western hills and it was getting dark. They saw that the place was lush with trees and a spring beside it, and decided to rest on the spot for one night. Everyone scooped up spring water to quench their thirst and eat wild fruits.

Woke up the next day, more than 300 people lost their voices and had a sore throat. Zhuge Liang was anxious and turned to Meng You, a famous doctor here. Meng You came to the military camp to see him, only to know that the soldiers were ill after eating dumb spring water by mistake. Immediately, the right medicine was given. Two days later, all the soldiers were finally able to speak, but they felt weak and unable to eat. Meng You picked wild walnuts for everyone to eat. When everyone tastes them, their fruits are crisp and delicious, oily but not greasy, which is simply a godsend.

For several days in a row, the soldiers ate wild walnuts three times a day to recharge their batteries, and their physical discomfort gradually disappeared, and their spirits were uplifted and their bodies recovered. Zhuge Liang thanked Meng You again and again and praised the magic of this wild walnut fruit. Meng You told Zhuge Liang that he had been practicing medicine for many years, traveling between Weishan Mountain and Qingcheng Mountain, and heard about the dignity and benevolence of the Prime Minister, so he came to help.

He also said that there are many wild walnuts in Dali, and soldiers can pick walnuts to eat at ordinary times, which is very good for soldiers who are not acclimatized. Zhuge Liang led the army all the way south, implemented the policy of appeasement, did not harass the local people, captured Meng Huo seven times, and was really moved by the people to rule the chaos, and finally pacified South China. Since then, the barbarians in South China have returned to their hearts and no longer resisted. Later generations learned that Meng You was Meng Huo's younger brother. Up to now, Binchuan and Menghuo in Dali have been influenced by his brother's Taoist thought, so the "Menghuo Cave" and other places have been preserved.

More than 300 years later, the Sui and Tang Dynasties rose. At that time, Dali and other places also formed a powerful Nanzhao State. According to legend, a villager in Nanzhao went up the mountain to collect herbs and found that the wild walnut trees in the mountain were lush and covered with branches, so he picked them and knocked on their shells. The fruit in it was white, tender and sweet. He didn't forget to eat it, so he collected a basket full and took it home for his mother to eat. Half a year later, my mother's silver hair turned black, her physical condition improved day by day, and she resumed her laughter when she was young, which surprised all her neighbors.

Later, the story spread to Nanzhao Palace, and the king tasted the fruit and praised it repeatedly, which was regarded as a miracle on earth. Named "Nanzhao Walnut", as a treasure to other countries.
