Early Years

Born in Vancouver, Canada, on May 30, 1987, her parents are Hong Kong Chinese multi-entertainers Zheng Shaoqiu and Shen Dianxia. As her parents divorced when she was young, she was raised by her mother, Shen Dianxia. Since her parents divorced when she was young, she was raised by her mother, Shen Dianxia. Acting Experience

In 2004, she announced that she had lost half of her body weight in one year, from 232 pounds to 137 pounds, released a commercial song called "Wanna Fly" and an MTV, and published a weight-loss diary that gained media attention.

In 2005, Joyce Cheng formed the group Teemuhae&JCi with Pauline Lam under the name "JCi" and released their songs "Adrenaline", "Aint Coming Back" and "I'm Not Going Back" on the Internet. Adrenaline", "Aint Coming Back" and "Irresistible 2005" were released on the Internet, all featuring Zheng Xinyi as the lead singer and Lin Bolin as the composer, musician and RAP part. The songs were well received by singer Sidekick Tin, DJ Chow Kwok Fung and Warner Records executive Chan Chi-kwong, who even considered signing the band to their record label.

In 2008, she made her acting debut in the TV series "Beat Your Own Man", which premiered on October 20 as "Yu Lok Er", and on December 28, she attended a promotional event for the TV series "Beat Your Own Man" in Hong Kong.

In 2009, Ms. Cheng starred in the movie "72 Tenants" directed by Eric Tsang, which held its opening ceremony at Tseung Kwan O Television City in Hong Kong.

On January 24, 2016, Joyce Cheng, Cao Ge, Du Dewei and Grasshopper held a joint concert at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. On that day, 180 pounds of Cheng Xinyi wore a see-through top and a tight leather skirt underneath, confidently took the stage. In the same year, she released the song "Goddess", which is based on her own journey and speaks out for women who do not fit into the mainstream aesthetic. "Goddess" was named "Women's Song of the Year" by netizens. Goddess" also swept the single awards of several other awards ceremonies, and also won two grand finale awards, "My Favorite Female Singer Award" and "My Favorite Song Award", for Cheng Yan-yi at the Rebuke Music Awards, tying with "Hong Kong's No. 1 Sister in Music" Joey Yung with three awards.

In May 2017, the movie 29+1, written and directed by Pang Sau Wai and co-starring Chow Sau Na and Cheng Yan Yee, received four nominations at the Nice International Film Festival in France.

In December 2017, Joyce Cheng took an intimate photo of herself and a man on Ins, with the caption, "Reunited with the love of my life, I hope you're all filled with love and happiness as well," and generously opened up about her relationship.

On December 13, 2008, Ms. Cheng attended the "Joy of Tung Wah" charity show.
