What are the symptoms of hypertension?

The pathogenesis of hypertension is not completely clear, according to statistical analysis, the following factors may be related to the occurrence of hypertension.

(1)Age and gender

The incidence of hypertension increases with age. According to domestic data, the average prevalence rate is 3.4% for those under 40 years of age, 10.2% for those 40 to 49 years of age, 17.2% for those 50 to 59 years of age, and 24.1% for those over 60 years of age. The prevalence of hypertension is 6.96% in men and 8.4% in women, with women higher than men. In general, the prevalence is slightly higher in men than in women before the age of 35, and higher in women than in men after the age of 35, which may be related to the endocrine changes of pregnancy and menopause in women.

(2) Nature of labor

The incidence of hypertension varies greatly among different occupations. According to the relevant data, the incidence rate of those who are mainly engaged in mental labor reaches 7.78%, and the incidence rate of those who are engaged in manual labor reaches 4.68%, while those who are engaged in occupations with high nervous tension, such as drivers and conductors, the prevalence rate of their hypertension reaches 11.3% or so.

(3)Obesity or overweight

Many epidemiological data indicate that the chance of obese people suffering from high blood pressure is 2 to 4 times higher than normal people, and reducing the weight of the blood pressure tends to fall with it. If you weigh more than 15% of your standard body weight, you should consider losing weight.

(4)History of pregnancy hypertension

Female patients with hypertension often have a history of pregnancy hypertension. According to domestic reports, it has been counted that 172 out of 440 people have a history of pregnancy hypertension, with a prevalence rate of 39.06%.

(5)Heredity

Many data indicate that hypertension has a certain relationship with heredity.

(6) Diet, hobbies

Related data show that the nature of diet has a certain relationship with the development of hypertension. People who eat more meat food have a higher incidence rate, such as 48 people who don't eat meat, 458 people who eat meat occasionally, and 556 people who often eat meat, whose incidence numbers accounted for 4.6%, 43.5%, and 52.9% of the total incidence numbers respectively. The relationship between hobbies such as drinking and smoking and the incidence of hypertension was less consistently reported from different parts of the world.

(7) Eating too much sodium

Eating too much salt is easy to cause hypertension, and there are more reports at home and abroad. Researchers have found that the Arctic Eskimos and the indigenous inhabitants of some islands in the Pacific Ocean, rarely eat salt, almost never find hypertensive patients. China's Liangshan Yi people also eat less salt, the prevalence of hypertension is the lowest in the country, and Tibet Lhasa Tibet due to the habit of drinking salt tea, the prevalence of hypertension in the country's highest; China's residents in the north eat more salt than the south, so the prevalence of hypertension is also significantly higher than the south.
