'Tekken' A Warm, Moving Story Beneath the Hardcore Mecha Veneer

In 2020, the hot sport of boxing is still popular around the world, but human fighters have been replaced by robots of all kinds. The robots have been programmed into martial arts around the world: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Japanese Ninjitsu, Muay Thai, and more, and for people, it's just a little more money for unfettered, unrelenting violence.

Charlie "Uncle Wolf" was once a professional boxer with a burning passion for boxing. He dared to challenge the world's second-ranked boxer when he was a nobody just as a warm-up boxer. He was fearless and never gave up.

But before Uncle Wolf had a chance to reach the top and shine, he was lapped on the shore by a wave, robotic boxing took the stage, and human boxing became history.

Though he couldn't make it to the ring, Uncle Wolf's passion for boxing was never quenched, and he took control of the robot and swung his fists at his opponents once again.

Fate seems to have been kind to Uncle Wolf, and his repeated defeats have left him heavily in debt and so destitute that he even tries to take advantage of Lori's money.

Unable to compete in a regular tournament, the high-minded and arrogant Wolf can only go to the wild field. And this time, his opponent is a two-thousand-pound big black bull, but the narcissistic and smelly one is KO'd by the bull.

On the occasion of his daily run, Uncle Wolf learns of the death of his ex-girlfriend, and has to go and sign for the custody of his son Max, whom he has never met.

Originally, he was just going to be a hands-off shopkeeper, but the ingenious Uncle Wolf "picked up" a son, Max, for nothing in 100,000 U.S. dollar installments.

Uncle Wolf used the money to buy a legendary mecha, Loud Gong, with the intention of making a comeback. But the arrogant and arrogant Wolf did not let us down, and he used the suit to give it back for nothing.

The father and son had no choice but to touch into the abandoned field to steal some parts. During the process, Max fell off a cliff, and was lucky enough to be hooked by the arm of a discarded robot.

Max insisted on taking the robot with him, despite Uncle Wolf's wishes to stop him, because it saved his life.

The tiny, scrawny robot was called Adam.

Adam is a second-generation retirement chaperone robot when he yet has a unique feature, mapping, which allows it to mimic human movements. Max insists that Adam take part in the fights, but Uncle Wolf thinks the little bitty man can only perform.

At Max's insistence, Uncle Wolf takes him to his first fight. Originally thought to be a crushing without suspense, but did not expect Adam talent blood defense points full, actually won the game.

Then Uncle Wolf, an ex-professional boxer, began to teach Adam fighting skills, and Max programmed Adam and taught him how to dance, by the way.

With a unique learning function and the skills of a professional boxer, as well as a talent for being particularly resistant to punching, Adam fucked his opponents over and over again.

This no-name robot has a lot of power in a little body. Adam's every appearance is as stunning as his cool, dynamic dance.

Adam's appearance also attracts the attention of the upper class, who offer astronomical prices to buy Adam. But Max refused the huge sums of money outright and even issued a letter of challenge to their robot, Zeus.

Zeus, recognized as the ceiling of fighting robot combat power. As its name suggests, it crushes its opponents with absolute strength every time.

But because of a custody agreement, Max had to return to his aunt at this point. This time, however, the cocky and arrogant Uncle Wolf seemed to feel the loss.

Months of time spent together, Uncle Wolf has long had feelings for the son he had not seen in ten years. They shared the same stubbornness, the same bravery, and the same heart-warming puppy dog eyes.

Finally, Uncle Wolf has gotten over it, opening up his heart to face his bad past and revealing what he owes to Max. This time, he didn't want to abandon Max, just as Max never abandoned Adam.

Finally, they take Adam to the much-anticipated fighting stage, and they face Zeus, who is as powerful as Daemon. It may have seemed like a match that was already doomed, but the cloaked Adam was never short of miracles.

Uncle Wolf, Max, and Adam, they never give up and are fearless, and whether it's Zeus or God in front of them, they hit hard.

This movie has a hardcore mecha veneer, but at the bottom it's a warm coming-of-age story.

Why Max is so obsessed with Adam is, I think, not just because Adam saved his life, but because Adam shares the same fate as he does: Max was abandoned by his own father, and Adam was abandoned by the times.

Maybe Max is a cool boy on the outside, but somewhere inside the lack of a father's love must be fragile and sensitive. After the loud male is KO'd, Max says to Uncle Wolf:

"So throw it away? Throw away what you don't need."

The eleven-year-old boy grew up with a lack of a father's love, and then lost his mother for good immediately afterward. I don't know how disappointed he must have been to learn that his biological father had "sold" him for tens of thousands of dollars.

What a person lacks, he or she will instinctively fill.

Max is eager to prove himself, so he wants Adam to beat the competition. Though he is scrawny and short, though he is not favored, the more he is, the more the stubborn boy refuses to admit defeat. The look of steely-eyed determination in the spotlight as Max led Adam in a dance was touching.

Uncle Wolf was also an outcast of his time, full of passion for boxing but drowned out before he could show it. But he also abandoned many things, including Max.

He's narcissistic and arrogant and full of resentment, and even when he's a loser he tries to stand up to fate, but because of this stubbornness he also loses a lot. Inside his heart, he also carries guilt and knows the harm he has done to the people around him, but his pride is not willing to lower his head, until Max appeared and shattered that protective shell.

At first, he could have easily sold custody of his own son and made a "good deal". But after Max left, there was a look of helplessness and remorse in his eyes. In the movie, when Uncle Wolf did not hesitate to refuse the final payment of $50,000, it shows that his heart has changed.

The bond between father and son made Uncle Wolf unload his pride, and he finally faced up to his own life, and also released his deep-seated inner guilt and regret. In this moment, he found himself.

The movie ends with Adam finally seizing the moment to strike back after experiencing Zeus' cannon version of an attack. That punch and punch back was like Uncle Wolf and Max, courageous at heart and never giving up on their fight against fate.

Filled with emotion and warm tears.

This long life is always not a straight path, thorns and thistles or stormy weather, but never give up on the dream of perseverance and care for love. The former for us in the darkness of the fog to light the direction of travel, the latter in the swampy and muddy to provide us with the power to adhere to.
