The Central Academy of Fine Arts is an institution. The Central Academy of Fine Arts is simply called "Yangmei", and Yangmei is the only art college directly under the people of China and the Ministry of Education.
The Central Academy of Fine Arts is one of the first batch of "double-class" national key universities, ranking first among the eight fine arts institutes. It has also been selected into the national graduate program of building a high-level university, the scholarship receiving institution of China government for overseas students and the first batch of demonstration bases for studying in China by the Ministry of Education.
