Every year, the people of Zhoucheng must offer it a pair of boys and girls in order to be temporarily free from its harm. This year, it was the turn of this family to give their three-year-old daughter to the python the next day. The family cried their hearts out as they were separated from each other. The next morning, Du Chaoxiang went into the mountains to look for the python, armed with a crossbow and a sword.

The two girls couldn't catch up with him, so they went down the mountain to a bottomless pool with a broken heart and threw themselves into the pool to die of grief. Although Du Chaoxuan was hunting, he was always thinking of the two girls, and in turn went to look for them, and unconsciously arrived at the bottomless pool, only to see that the two girls had already drowned, but they still kept their eyes open with expectation, which made him feel remorseful and ashamed, and then he plunged into the pool to die for the love of the three of them. Later, the three were transformed into butterflies, flying under the acacia tree by the pool. Every year on April 15, all the colorful butterflies come to pay homage to the bottomless pool has become a famous butterfly spring.
The villagers of Zhoucheng honored this hero and dedicated him as their master.
