"Suspect" is not just a general detective novel that focuses on logical reasoning. The deep love that it expresses in the soul is difficult to express through simple images and dialogues. Although Masaharu Fukuyama in the Japanese version is really good-looking, and Uncle Tsutsumi's crying at the end made my tear ducts burst, the perspective of the movie is still from the detective side, so the intensity is still weaker. Compared with the movie, the shock brought by the novel is more profound. Therefore, it is highly recommended to watch the movie after reading the novel. Although the Japanese version of the movie has been adapted, it is highly restored and the description of emotions is more delicate, while the Korean version pays more attention to the plot and suspenseful atmosphere. Each has its merits, but I still love novels.
