What does it mean to have a relationship?
It refers to the relationship between things that act on each other and depend on each other. According to Buddhism, nothing has an independent and unchanging nature, and can only arise and change under certain conditions, which is called "karma". A tree, for example, is created by a combination of various causes such as sunlight, air, water, branches, flowers and leaves. Volume 7 of the Sutra of Repayment of Gratitude says: "The Buddha World Honored One should appear in the world to attract karmas; when the karmas are over, he moves to the nirvana of the gods." In the sutras, karmic refers mostly to people with good roots who have believed in the Dharma and have attained enlightenment. In addition, the appearance of Dharma treasures and the interaction with senior monks are also called karmic. For example, in the Southern Dynasty, Liang Jianwendi's "The Money of the Temple of Ayurveda" says, "The white parasol on the bed of teeth is not without cause; the golden vase and the precious letter are out of karma." Another example is Tang Sikongtu's poem "Presenting Cen Shangren": "I have traveled all over the world, but there is always a chance in Xiangnan." It also refers to the opportunity and conditions. For example, "Three Kingdoms Zhi-Wei Zhi-Dong Zhaobuan": "Cao is now weak, but the world's heroes, but now there is a chance, it is appropriate to pass its on the matter and table recommended." It also refers to the marriage destiny, also known as the "destiny meeting". For example, Tang Yuan Zhen's poem "Sorrowful Wistfulness" says: "The same hole in the darkness is not to be expected, and the fate of his life will be more difficult to anticipate." There is also a common saying, "If you have the fate to meet each other in thousands of miles, you will never meet each other without the fate to meet each other". The meaning of this sentence is more in favor of the first half of the sentence, which means that people meet and make friends with each other because they have fate. For example, in the 35th episode of Water Margin: "Song Jiang was overjoyed to hear this, and dragged himself forward to say: 'There is a chance to meet each other over a thousand li, but there is no chance to meet each other across the street'. I am Song Jiang, the Black Third Lang." It also refers to the marriage between a man and a woman. For example, in the fourth episode of Zhu Ding's Jade Mirror Terrace: "The peacock screen is open and the candle shadow is red, and I will see my good son-in-law near the dragon. If there is a destiny, we can meet each other in a thousand li, but if there is no destiny, we will not meet each other."
