The glorious life of Ka Kui

Once upon a time, Ka Kui was just an ordinary young man. He was born in a well-off family. He didn't have a rich material life when he was young, but he had the most common and free life gadgets for children, such as playing paper kites, jumping on airplanes, catching grasshoppers ...... After finishing elementary school, he went to secondary school and said that his academic performance was very poor, especially in math, and he was often absent from class. After finishing secondary school, he came out to work and did Officeboy, aluminum windows, air-conditioning engineering, hardware, television set designer and insurance broker, but every job is not long.

The ordinary life blossomed because he fell in love with music, and even more so because he had a sense of perseverance. At the age of 12 or 13, Ka Kui began to pay attention to music trends through the influence of his close friends. Then came David Bowie, who's strange outfit and magnetic voice shook Ka Kui's heart and made him bond with music.

Anyone who is familiar with Ka Kui knows that he is a hard man who refuses to admit defeat. At the age of seventeen, he began to play the guitar, at first only for his own amusement, and later joined a team of amateur band, responsible for playing rhythm guitar. once, the team lead guitarist scolded him, saying that his technique was too poor, and he would never be able to accomplish great things. This scolding, but scolded out of the Ka Kui's vigor, vowed to work hard, the first goal of the future, is to play better than the lead guitarist.

Ka Kui's dream finally came true, and he worked with his friends to form a band. 83 years later, Ka Kui formed a band with Shirong and some of his friends to take part in a guitar competition organized by Guitar Magazine, and finally won the "Best Band Award", and from then on, BEYOND's name appeared on the music scene. Since then, BEYOND's name has appeared on the music scene. After ten years, the voices of those who agree and those who don't exist, but BEYOND can survive all the time, which shows that their vitality is resilient.

After BEYOND's formation, in addition to their commitment to music, they have also been involved in a number of movie performances in recent years. The four of them have acted in the films "Auspicious Star", "Happy Ghost Saves Happy Ghost", "Black Lost Wall" and "BEYOND Diary of a Young Man". As for "Farmer" directed by Cheung Chi Leung, only Ka Kui was cast.

Zhang Zhiliang's impression of Ka Kui is that he has the breath of a young man, has vitality, and is diligent and enterprising in his work. The departure of Ka Kui has made "Peasant" his legacy. Zhang Zhiliang said, "Ka Kui made the movie just to make some new attempts outside of being a full-fledged singer, and his most praiseworthy achievement is in music." Not bad, music was most important in Ka Kui's life.

BEYOND doesn't believe in closed-door disease-free moaning and sadness. Ka Kui once said, "Music creation comes from life, and we prefer to keep an eye on the world's trends to bring impact to our creations." So they wrote "Glory Days", a song dedicated to African human rights leader Mantra, and in early 1991, they traveled to Kenya to begin a journey to Africa. "I went to see the Third World, not only to see the poverty, but to see the change of the Third World, to see the Third World of the future, and to use human conscience as a starting point, to reflect on what people do with their sensibility. Africa has always had a feeling of poverty and backwardness, and what we consider insignificant may become meaningful there. As the world moves on, it is a shame to see their lives come to a standstill. With a little bit of attention from us, they too can move forward into tomorrow with us." Ka Kui, thirty years ago, said something like this. Unfortunately, he did not step into tomorrow with us.

It can not be denied that the departure of Ka Kui, BEYOND is a big blow to BEYOND, BEYOND in the future how the days of BEYOND? BEYOND's former manager, Chen Jiantian, and BEYOND with a long time of cooperation with the lyricist Liu Zhuo Hui, are of the view that: "In fact, BEYOND is a team of creative force of the band, with their own style, there are very long vitality, Ka Kui is a team of creative force, with their own style, there are very long life. With the departure of Ka Kui, the band lost a very important person, of course, there is an impact, but in fact, the other three have been involved in the creation of the band, only that the style may be slightly different. If they are willing to continue, they should be able to survive." That would be Ka Kui's wish!

Ka Kui's life has ended, but his spirit still exists, and BEYOND is facing another turning point, a new beginning. May the spirit of Ka Kui's struggle live on in the music world.
