Modern Testing and Precision Engineering Innovation Intellectual Base of College of Instrument Science and Optoelectronic Engineering, Hefei University of Technology (HFUT)

The Ministry of Education and the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs issued the "Notice on the 2012 Construction Projects of Higher Education Discipline Innovation Intellectual Program" (No. 74 of Teaching Technological Letter 〔2011〕), in which the "Modern Testing and Precision Engineering Innovation Intellectual Base" of Hefei University of Technology was listed as one of the first construction projects of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" of the Discipline Innovation Intellectual Program of Higher Education.

Hefei University of Technology's "Modern Testing and Precision Engineering Innovation Intelligence Base" was listed among the first batch of construction projects in the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan".

The base relies on Hefei University of Technology Instrumentation Science and Technology discipline construction, has gone through two rounds of academician evaluation expert group evaluation and on-site defense evaluation and finally approved the project, the project leader for the College of Instrumentation Science and Electro-Optical Engineering, vice president of Prof. Yu Liantong. The base intends to employ Prof. Yuri Chugui, academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering and vice president of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Ryszard Pryputniewicz, academician of the European Academy of Sciences and professor of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), U.S.A. as the academic guru; and Prof. Richard Leach, director of the Department of Mass and Length Metrology of the National Physical Laboratory of the United Kingdom as academic guru, Professor Richard Leach, Director of the Department of Mass and Length Metrology of the National Physical Laboratory of the United Kingdom, Professor Harald Bosse, Director of the Department of Precision Engineering of the Federal Institute of Physics and Technology (PTB) of Germany, researcher Michael Krystek, Professor Seung-Woo Kim of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Professor Peter Ott of the University of Heilbronn of Germany, and Professor Yusaku FUJ II of the University of Gunma of Japan are appointed as foreign academic backbones of the Base, and other ten foreign experts. Foreign experts are the foreign academic backbone of the base; the domestic research backbone consists of 12 professors.

The base will give full play to the disciplinary characteristics of Hefei University of Technology's modern testing technology and instrumentation precision theory, and closely integrate with the needs of national demand and the needs of the development of the local economy, and strive for research and development of micro and nano measurement technology, non-orthogonal coordinate measurement technology and modern optical precision testing technology. and modern optical precision testing technology and other research directions and fields to achieve research results of international level; introduce world-class scholars, ***same research, ***share the results, establish a comprehensive research and development platform of high-end precision instruments of international advanced level, comprehensively enhance the academic level of the discipline of Instrumentation Science and Technology of the University, and build it into a first-class discipline and scientific research base of significant influence in the international arena; at the same time, to Cultivate a scientific research team with international vision and strong sense of innovation, and create three to five discipline leaders and a group of young academic backbones with great influence in the international academic arena.
