Maishilev, meaning assembly and gathering in Uyghur language, is a folk entertainment activity of Uyghur people integrating fun, character education and gathering. According to the old custom, Maisilaifu is usually held in the agricultural leisure time. Men, women and children of the same village or street can participate. At the host's signal, the guests first enjoy a plentiful meal of fruits and vegetables, and then begin to sing, dance and play activities.
