Essay - My Familiar Corner of Shanghai

My familiar corner of Shanghai

Changes I have seen in Shanghai

I am an elementary school student who goes to school in the city and lives in the suburbs. Every day I take my dad's car to the bus stop and then take the bus to school. Sometimes I have to take two buses to school when my dad has something to do. As the bus passed by, I was able to observe the changes in Shanghai from the window of the bus every day.

Four years ago, the bus I took was very crowded, especially in the morning. The compartments were so full you couldn't even move. The cars were worn out, the doors didn't close tightly, and the driving was extremely loud. Since I got on at the beginning, I always had a seat. I loved to look out of the window, near the downtown area, and saw the old houses and the unfinished ones, which looked a bit chaotic. Not two years, I found that the bus has been replaced by a new type of vehicle, every day there are a lot of passengers holding a senior citizen card on the bus, it turns out that the elderly can use this card for free. Whenever the sound of the old man's card is heard, someone will get up and give up his seat.

At New Year's Eve, people can be seen carrying large bags of goods. Many of the old houses along the road have been demolished, and those that were not yet built are now occupied. If you take a closer look, you will find that there are many more high-rise buildings along the road. There are also a lot of telephone booths, bus shelters and other convenient facilities. The city of Shanghai is really spectacular!

Our school has also changed: our blackboard posters have become very beautiful, the class sometimes adds one or two new students, the teacher lets us do all the homework on our own, do not allow parents to check, so that the teacher can understand the true level of our knowledge, and then the teacher can help us consolidate the knowledge of the symptomatic, so the teacher is really good! Our school also carries out a series of activities: welcome to the World Expo, field day, fall tour and other activities. We learn in the activities, but also in the learning to understand the society and life, I like this kind of activities!

Before the winter vacation, my home in Minhang District, the street seems to be less pedestrians, but there are a lot of people with bags rushed to the road. Many service industries have been closed, even the roadside car wash can not be found, the original foreign workers have disappeared, I asked my father where they went, my father said they all went home for the New Year. I suddenly felt that, yes, they are really an important pillar of the city, these people with the Shanghai *** with the progress of the country to make contributions! I can't help but have a high respect for them.

What I saw in the window of the car made me feel y: our country is becoming more and more prosperous, the people live in peace and work in contentment. All the progress of Shanghai is the epitome of China's progress, I love Shanghai, I love the motherland!

Shanghai has a lot of beautiful parks, I am most familiar with is Changshou Park. This park is not big, but it is very charming and the environment is very quiet.

Long life park is a good place for the residents in the neighborhood to relax and have fun. Every morning, there are always some "music lovers" gathered in the corner of the park, where they either practice or play different instruments. When night falls, beautiful music is played on the square, and many people gather here to dance to the beautiful music. Although I don't know how to dance, I can appreciate music, and I often come here for a walk after dinner. The music infects people, and people also relax their tired bodies and minds in the beautiful music and dance.

Longevity Park is also a good place to cultivate people's emotions. On the lawn stands a lot of chic and novel sculpture works, these works of different styles, but all contain a deep thematic meaning. One of my favorite is a "little girl" is doing exercises, see her hands on the cheeks, is concentrating on thinking about the exercises. That look of concentration often reminds me of my own study life. Whenever I face a difficult problem, want to give up, somehow, I always think of her, as if she said to me "good students, do not give up, to insist".

Thinking about it, a marvelous picture presented in front of me - the characters in the statue are "alive". A musician is playing her beloved violin, bursts of pleasant tone into my ears; a painter is carrying his beloved drawing board, quietly depicting the beauty of the scene in front of ...... a happy picture into my eyes, accompanied by a burst of flower fragrance.

I think these statues are built to lead us to live happily and cheerfully.

Longevity Park is a fascinating place, full of laughter. I think there is a special "magic", into which, as if the gods like free, can avoid the world's troubles. I love this place because it allows me to face life positively.
