There are three kinds of Uyghur dances: self-entertainment dance, customary dance and performance dance.
1, self-entertainment dance:
Smooth rhythm, melodious, suitable for dance, later combined with the rhythm of the tune Sailakai, the formation of slow to fast two-part dance form, was included in the Uyghur classical suite of twelve Mukam. The performance is relatively free and can be performed both indoors and outdoors. Before the performance begins, the crowd sits in a circle, and the orchestra and backing singers gather in one place.
2, customary dance:
The main instruments are iron drums and suona. The dance has a steady rhythm. The dance has a steady rhythm, with the whole foot on the ground, the body pressed down, a slight pause, and the hands swinging lightly with the body's pitching when lifting the step, and skillful movements such as jumping and spinning, and rubbing the ground to turn around are often used. The performers are mostly working people, and their movements are rough and powerful, rich in the flavor of labor and life.
3. Performing Dance:
Accompanied by strings, the rhythm is beat, and there are special tunes. Performative dance originated from the folk of Kuche in Xinjiang, and then spread all over the world, and gradually developed into a stage program, performed by a woman alone. During the performance, the dancer holds a plate in each hand, holds bamboo chopsticks in her fingers, and dances to the music while playing, and holds a bowl of water on her head to increase the difficulty.
Uyghur Dance Dance Characteristics:
Because of the different natural environment and economic development in the north and south regions of Xinjiang, various Uyghur dances have **** the same style, but also have different regional characteristics. The main feature of Uyghur dance is that the movements of each part of the body are matched with the eyes to convey emotions. From the head, shoulders, waist, arms to the toes have movement.
Holding the head high, lifting the chest and straightening the waist are the basic features of the body posture. Through the combination of movement and static and the contrast of big and small movements as well as the embellishment of decorative movements such as moving the neck and turning the wrists, a passionate, bold, steady and delicate style flavor is formed.
It is also characterized by:
1. Slight trembling of the knee in continuity or in the moment before the change of movement, which makes the movement soft and articulated naturally.
2, the rotation of fast, colorful and abrupt end. Various dance forms of rotation, all have their own characteristics, usually in the climax of the dance for competitive rotation.
3, the music accompaniment with syncopated, point rhythms, weak beat is often given to the art of playing, to highlight the charm of the dance and national colors.
