The TV series "True Love" tells the emotional entanglement of "mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, and young master" within the gate of a feudal mansion. Although it is an interpretation of an old story, it has attracted much attention because it has gathered a large number of well-known actors and young talents from the Mainland and Taiwan.

The virtuous daughter-in-law played by Chen Derong, played by Qiong Yao, can be said to be a typical example of daughters-in-law under the oppression of the feudal system in the last century: she persuaded her husband to "borrow a child" in order to fulfill her filial piety; she was wrongfully demoted from a young mistress to a concubine. A slave of the Jiang family; the family went bankrupt and one person shouldered the heavy burden; finally all the hardships came to an end, but her husband was suffering from an incurable disease. Although she was constantly being teased by fate, she was strong and brave and rebuilt the Jiang family mansion with her hands.

Since "The Mansion" and its sequels became popular, the culture of "mansion" in film and television dramas immediately became popular. "Jiangnan Daughter-in-law: True Love for a Lifetime" describes the love and conspiracy of wealthy families, shows the rise and fall of the two major families in Jiangnan, and continues the legend of Zhaimen culture. "True Love" focuses on describing the emotional turmoil and troubles of the family's birth control. The tragic fate of the daughter-in-law in the play is always overlapped with the rise and fall of the family, as well as selfish desires and conspiracies, allowing the audience to experience a different "Southern Mansion".

The famous family surnamed Jiang in the Jiangnan water town is known to everyone for its wealth. Unfortunately, it has only a few men. Jiang's mother was worried about her children. Taken advantage of by prostitute Li Hong and her boyfriend Liao Jianhao. Lihong gave birth to twin boys through surrogacy, and Jiang's mother was elated. As a result, Qiu Qin, a good and capable daughter-in-law, lost her due status, drifted away from her husband, and suffered a lot. In the end, she ended up alone on the street, but at this time, she discovered that she was pregnant with Jiang family flesh and blood. The Jiang family has no idea that there is a carefully laid trap hidden behind the twin boys, covering a bigger conspiracy...

Will Jianhao's conspiracy and crimes get the retribution they deserve? Can Mother Jiang know that the twins she holds in her hands are not flesh and blood of the Jiang family? How does Zhihe fight against difficulties and regain his family's reputation? How can Qiu Qin help her husband make a comeback? What is incredible is that Jianhao's mother and Jiang's mother are actually biological sisters, and they have an unknown feud with each other! And can these grievances and resentments be resolved...
