Tao Ye (Founder, Choreographer, Artistic Director)
Graduated from Chongqing Dance School and joined the Cultural and Industrial Troupe of the Political Department of Shanghai Armed Police in 2003. After joining the Civilian Troupe of the Political Department of the Shanghai Armed Police, he joined the Venus Dance Company in 2003, and in 2004, he began to create independently, and founded "Combined Tease" with five contemporary artists, and **** together created a physical theater dance work, "Tongue's Memory of the Homeland", and participated in the Shanghai Art Festival in 2005, and choreographed a duo dance, "Alone", which was premiered at the Shanghai Art Center. From 2006 to 2008, she was with the Beijing Modern Dance Company, where she participated in many domestic and international tours, and commissioned the male duo dance "Lines" and the group dance "Fantasy" during her time with the company. 2008, she founded Tao Body Theatre, whose main works include: "Heavy Trilogy", "Vegetarian", "Moment", "Left and Right", "2", and "4". 2011 she was invited to participate in a dance production by the producer Du Kefeng and the rock musicians "The Memory of the Tongue". In 2011, Tao Ye was invited to star in the movie "Blue Bones" directed by producer Du Kefeng and rock legend Cui Jian. 2012, Tao Ye was honored as one of the "Top 10 Asian Style Figures of 2012" by Men's Uno Style, an Asian fashion magazine. Tao Ye was selected by Sadler's Wells as one of the six choreographers in the world by New Wave Associates in 2014.
Graduated from Shaanxi Provincial Art School, Tao Ye graduated from Beijing Dance Academy in 2004 and was founded by Ms. Yang Meiqi, a renowned Chinese dance educator and director (founder) of Guangdong Experimental Modern Dance Company. Ms. Yang was awarded the scholarship of "American Dance Festival" during her school years. After graduation, she joined the Shanghai Golden Star Dance Company; in 2005, she joined the Arkham Dance Company in London, UK; in 2006, she joined Shen Wei Dance Arts in New York, USA; and in August 2008, she joined Tao Body Theater.
She studied at the Dance Department of the Central University for Nationalities from 1996 to 2002, and was awarded the First Prize of the Sixth Beijing Dance Competition in 1998, and continued to study at the School of Dance of the Central University for Nationalities in 2002. In 2002, she continued to study at the School of Dance of the Central University for Nationalities. During her study, she won the first prize of the performance in the "Eighth Beijing Dance Competition", the third prize of the performance in the "Seventh Peach and Lee Cup Dance Competition", and the second prize of the performance in the "Ninth Beijing Dance Competition" in 2005. "In 2005, she won the second prize in the 9th Beijing Dance Competition, and in 2006, she joined the Beijing Modern Dance Company, and in March 2008, she joined the Tao Body Theater.
Tao Body Theater is the international expansion planner, as well as the artistic director and founder of Ping Pong Planning. (The Ping Pong Project develops cultural exchange programs and promotes creative collaborations between Chinese and international artists/organizations.) Mei-Ann Fong came to China in 2002 on a Fulbright Scholarship to study the development of modern dance in China. She was the International Program Director of the Beijing Modern Dance Company, the General Manager of Academy Award-winning composer Tan Dun's studio, and a producer of various international performing arts festivals. 2009-2010 she was awarded a scholarship to attend the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts' School of Management in the U.S., where she studied under the direction of the Kennedy Center's President, Mr. Michael Kaiser. 2010 she joined the Tao body In 2010, he joined Tao Body Theater.
