First Symphonic Overture:

The First Symphonic Overture was reconstructed in December 2003 by Guan Xia based on the music of the opera Pathétique Dawn. The large-scale national opera "The Pathos of Dawn" was premiered in Beijing in 2001 and was a success. 2003, it was recorded by CCTV and broadcast as a stage art film.

The introduction to the First Symphonic Overture uses the undulating sound patterns of the string orchestra as a backdrop, with the horns of four horns in the same degree going from low to high and from weak to strong, followed by the trumpets, trombones, and tuba entering in a canonic style one beat apart. After the prelude, the strings cascade down from the treble clef, accompanied by a broad melody made up of intervallic leaps in fourths and crossings.
