On the east bank of the beautiful Weishan Lake, there is an ancient natural village called Xishan.
We say that Xishan Mountain is a mountain, but it is actually an independent hill with an altitude of only 66.3 meters, facing the famous Weishan Island across the lake. Here, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passes along the west of the village, and the 104 National Highway bypasses the east of the village; there is the famous temple "Ancient Mulan Temple" in front of the mountain, and the historical site "The Tomb of Xi Jian, Taiwei of the Eastern Jin Dynasty" in Shanxi; and on the east side of the mountain there is a rare temple in the country. The famous mine "Xishan Rare Earth Mine" also contains 12.75 million tons of C-class cerium fluorocarbon lanthanum rare earth energy under the mountain. Xishan Mountain and Weishan Lake live in harmony like brothers and sisters. The mountains and rivers flow into the lake, and the lake moistens the mountains. Treasures that human beings need are nurtured everywhere in the mountains and lakes.
Although a sparrow is small, it has all five internal organs. Xishan Mountain, like other famous mountains and rivers in various parts of the motherland, has always been full of beautiful visions and legends since ancient times.
According to legend, when Yang Erlang was carrying mountains, he changed his shoulders and misplaced Xishan Mountain and Weishan Island. It is also said that when Erlang was carrying mountains, dirt got into his shoes, and Erlang lost his shoes. The soil inside was poured out, and it grew into this mountain.
He also said that many, many years ago, Weishan Lake had not yet been born. At that time, the mountains were high, the trees were green, the grass was long and the orioles were singing, the springs were gurgling, and the scenery was very elegant. Several generations of ancestors of the Zuo family are buried on the hillside, so the mountain is called Zuo Jialin. In the ninth life of the Zuo family, a court official was born. The Ming Guan was in control of the government and was extremely powerful. The whole family lived in the capital. Only a few honest family members were left to guard this geomantic treasure. Because of the long distance, the Ming Guan rarely came to worship his ancestors once in ten or eight years.
Because Zuojia Forest has long green mountains, green water and fertile land, the surrounding people and the homeless families who wandered here successively opened up wasteland and built nests and settle in the mountains. First came the surname Guo, and together with the Zuo family, they were called the Guo Zuo family, followed by the surnames Su, Wu, Chen, Yang, and Yin. A few years later, they actually gathered into a small village around the mountains.
Logically speaking, the holy place where the official family was born cannot allow others to stay or disturb it, not to mention that the Zuo family still has such great power in the court. However, at that time, the roads were short and sparsely populated, and information had to be conveyed on two legs. It was difficult for the surrounding people to know what kind of official the Zuo family was, and how much power his taste had. Is it because there are no radio or TV stations?
As more people live around the mountains, they need to recuperate and recuperate. Naturally, they rely on the mountains to eat, reclaim wasteland, and gradually even the Zuojia woodland is planted with crops. The feng shui of the Zuo family was seriously threatened. His family members wanted to abide by their duties, but they also knew that public anger was hard to offend. In addition, the mountains were high and the emperor was far away, and the family head had not come back for a long time, so they turned a blind eye and lived in harmony with the neighbors.
Although the Zuo family, who was an official in the dynasty, had great power in both the government and the opposition, he did not get along well with his colleagues who were officials in the same dynasty. He was often domineering and his colleagues dared to get angry but dare not speak out. When he learned that his family's ancestral tomb forest had been reclaimed by the common people for farming, Zuo Daguan immediately became furious and personally led a group of soldiers to fight with murderous troops. He vowed to expel all the common people living in Zuojialin and restore the state of Zuojialin. Its Feng Shui treasure land has its original appearance.
Unexpectedly, God is unstoppable, and things go against expectations. Halfway through Zuo's official mission, the situation within the court suddenly changed. Zuo's official motto was taken away, his positions were reduced, and all his cronies and minions were wiped out. After he received the bad news, he became very angry and died in anger. The soldiers who followed him hurriedly dispersed like birds and beasts for fear of being implicated. The people of Zuojialin escaped this disaster that destroyed their homes, and since then they have lived in the mountains and thrived. When the Zuo family members learned that their head had been deposed, they changed their names one after another and became honest locals. Although there are more than a hundred surnames and nearly ten thousand people living in this mountain village, there are still no residents with the Zuo surname.
So, how did Zuo Jialin change its name to Xishan?
According to historical legends: Xi Jian, a famous general of the Jin Dynasty (that is, the father-in-law of Wang Xizhi, the sage of calligraphy), was a native of Jinxiang, Gaoping in ancient times (now part of Jiaxiang County, Shandong). The young man was lonely and poor, and his occupation was farming. But he did not forget to read a lot of books, and he was still tireless after working. In his youth, he was famous for his purity and elegance. During the reign of Emperor Hui of the Jin Dynasty, he was appointed Prince Zhongsheren and Zhongshu Shilang. After the fall of Luoyang, the capital, Xi Jian led his family and more than a thousand neighboring families to take refuge in Zou Mountain of Lu State (now Yishan Mountain of Zou County). He relied on the mountains to protect himself and was promoted as the leader. In the long-term battle with Shi Le, a vassal of the Xiongnu, Xi Jian convinced the people with his virtue and united as one. In three years, the number of troops increased to tens of thousands. In the name of the imperial court, Langya King Sima Rui (later Emperor Yuan of Jin) ordered him to act as General Longxiang, governor of Yanzhou, and guard Zoshan. He served for three years and made outstanding achievements. He was promoted to assist the general of the country and was in charge of all military affairs in Yanzhou.
In the early years of Yongchang in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (AD 322), he was worshiped as the leading general.
When Emperor Ming Sima Shao came to the throne, the powerful vassal king Dun Fei became domineering and wanted to usurp the throne, and the court was in danger. Xi Jian was awarded the title of General of Anxi, governor of Yanzhou, commander of the Yangzhou and Jiangxi armies, and guarded Hefei as a foreign aid. Such a transfer aroused Wang Dun's suspicion, and he was recommended as a minister. After the defeat of Wang Han and Qian Feng's rebellion, Xi Jian was granted the title of Marquis of Gaoping and moved to the post of general of Dongling, military governor of Xu, Yanzhou and Qingzhou, governor of Yanzhou, and guarding Guangling.
Soon after the death of Emperor Ming, Xi Jian, together with Wang Dao, Bian Hu, and Yu Liang, received the imperial edict to assist the young master Sima Yan (Emperor Cheng of Jin Dynasty), and became the general of chariots and cavalry. Add casual cavalry to serve as regular attendants. In the early years of Xianhe, he served as the governor of Xuzhou.
In 327 AD, Su Jun rebelled and invaded Jiankang (today's Nanjing). Xi Jian resolutely led his army across the river and worked hard with Tao Kan and others to put down the rebellion. Because of his merit, he was worshiped as Sikong and became a minister. , changed the title to Nanchang County Duke. Later, he defeated the rebel leader Liu Zheng and was promoted to Taiwei. In the three dynasties from Emperor Yuan to Emperor Cheng, Xi Jian was loyal and courageous and had outstanding military exploits. He was deeply loved by the emperor, soldiers and people.
Chi Taiwei wrote a letter to abdicate in his seventies: "Begging for bones and returning to Qiuyuan". He died at the age of seventy-one. The death of such a distinguished, selfless and fearless veteran was undoubtedly a great loss to the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The young Emperor Cheng "wept in the court hall in the morning, and sent the censor to guard the funeral," and "gifted it to the Taizai, with the posthumous title Wencheng, and the temple Yitailao," showing his sorrow and honor.
Before Xi Jian took office as the governor of Yanzhou, he once led the Xiangdang people to live in Zou Mountain, and continued to grow stronger in the fight with Shi Le. Later, he became the governor of Xuzhou. Therefore, the Feng Shui between Yan and Xu was The geography is very clear. Due to his loyal nature, he always admired the benevolence of the three sages, Wei Zi, Mu Yi and Zhang Liang. Therefore, after his death, he chose the western foot of the hill across the water from the cemetery of the three sages as his final resting place. His long-cherished wish is that his bones will return to Qiuyuan. His son-in-law Wang Xizhi inscribed the inscription "The Tomb of Xi Jian, Taiwei of the Eastern Jin Dynasty". Cao Pi, a poet of the Jin Dynasty, wrote about the Xi Cemetery: "The green pines cover the front tunnel, the emerald stele represents the high tomb, the jade face is not reflected, and the wind is lingering." This describes the scale and influence of Xi Taiwei's tomb at that time. Weishan County Place Name Chronicle says: "The mountain is named after the people." Therefore, the old Zuojialin was replaced by Xishan and is still used today.
At the southern foot of Xishan Mountain, there is a majestic and spectacular temple - the ancient Mulan Temple. The temple is built on the mountain. The main hall has cornices and brackets, carved beams and painted buildings. It is a splendid golden wall. There are painted sculptures of Mulan and the ten heavenly kings in the hall. Dharma statues, Guan Gong sandalwood statues and other sculptures that combine Chinese and Western styles. Above the arched temple gate on the true meridian, there is a plaque of "Ancient Mulan Temple" carved in stone. The gate is painted with red lacquer and has copper nails, facing Weishan Lake. It is said that the craftsman who built this temple was a master who rebuilt Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang in the early Tang Dynasty. When Jinshan Temple was rebuilt, he ordered the Duke of E, Wei Chi Jingde, to supervise the construction and repair. It was an authentic royal project. The craftsmen completed the restoration of the temple, but left some materials that could not be disposed of. This was a crime at the time. The craftsmen thought hard and finally took advantage of the opportunity to board the ship on a dark and windy night for a month. They went north along the Grand Canal and drifted to Xishan Mountain. They found that this mountain village adjacent to Guliu City has beautiful water and lush forests, and the vegetation is full of vitality. , so he worked with rural celebrities and prominent families in Lu to build this little-known ancient Mulan Temple, which is comparable to Jinshan Temple. At that time, the temple was large in scale, with three entrances from the temple gate to the back hall. The halls, corridors and verandas were all in compliance with the regulations. There were hundreds of monks and so on. Even in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, the temple was still very popular and full of energy. It is a pity that in the feudal era, people were in dire straits and wars continued. The two palaces were destroyed by the war. Only the front yard, the treasure hall and part of the wing room were left. The ruins still exist to this day.
The evening drum and morning bell in the ancient Mulan Temple have been ringing for more than 1,400 years from the Tang Dynasty to the Republic of China. During this period, there are many beautiful legends and righteous sustenance of the nation and the public. It is said that during the Chunhua period of the Song Dynasty more than a thousand years ago, there was a talented man named Lu Mengzheng in Henan who was a prodigy. In a small village on Weishan Island on the other side, which was later renamed Lümeng Village, he begged to survive while reviewing his homework, looking forward to the year of the competition and then taking the exams for merit. This Lu Mengzheng had great ambitions and did not care about poverty. Every day when the monks of Mulan Temple rang the bell in the early morning to start dinner, he hurriedly went to ask for a bowl of fast food to satisfy his hunger.
In the hundreds of years from the Tang Dynasty to the Song Dynasty, although the ancient Mulan Temple was a Buddhist holy place, the masters and monks were also mixed with good and bad due to different practices. Some of them were indeed compassionate and compassionate. It is our duty to save all lost sentient beings in the world, but some people develop cynical methods due to unfinished karma and lingering grievances. Lu Mengzheng came to Gumulan Temple on time every day to ask for food, which slowly aroused the dissatisfaction of some monks. These monks grumbled and resented every day, until it affected many monks. On this day, the head abbot ordered the monk on duty not to ring the bell before his meal, in order to humiliate this down-and-out beggar and try to prevent him from disturbing him from now on. The monk on duty actually complied with the order. When Lu Mengzheng was not in power, he was in dire straits, but he had great ambitions and was born with the demeanor of a great man. He never thought that the monks in the temple would be disgusted by his free rice. It was already three o'clock in the morning, and he was already hungry after forgetting to study. When he heard the bell of the big temple, he hurried to catch the fast meal. When he arrived, he saw that the monks had already gone to do their homework, and there was no fast meal anywhere. ? A young novice secretly told him the truth, went to the kitchen to find a pair of sieves, fished out two bowls of thick soup from the vat where the monks rinsed their bowls, and let him drink it. This Lu family is like a Wenqu star in the sky who has descended to earth. At this point, he is still neither sad nor sad. He calmly drank this bowl of ignorant rice that will never be forgotten in the hot and cold world. After that, he looked up to the sky and stamped his feet without hesitation, carrying the book, holding the bowl, and pulling the begging stick. A long begging career began. When he was thirsty, he drank a gourd of mountain spring water. When he was tired, he rested on the sand and rocks beside the canal, eating and sleeping in the open air. For three whole years, he never went to a big temple to fast. Lu Mengzheng's begging stick was originally made from a jujube tree. When the kudzu needles on it scratched the ground, it gradually grew into deep ditches and flat roads. These are the famous three "诱辘gullies" in Xishan Mountain.
Later, Lu Mengzheng became a Jinshi in one fell swoop, and was promoted to Prince, Grand Master, Prime Minister, and was granted the title of Duke Xu. One night this year, dull screams suddenly broke out frequently in Xiaosen's ancient Mulan Temple, and then gradually subsided. At dawn, people discovered that in the big temple, only the young novice from that time was sitting alone, and all the monks were gone. The novice was frightened and wept, and all the monks lost their concentration. After repeated questioning by everyone, the whole story was revealed in shock.
It turns out that after Lu Mengzheng finished the two bowls of leftover soup, he looked up to the sky and stamped his feet and said only one sentence: "One day when Lu gets the first prize, he will rake away these bald donkeys with golden rake teeth!" "After that, I never saw this beggar come to the temple to ask for food. The screams that night came from the monk who was buried alive up to his neck and was tortured by horses on a rake in revenge. The novice monk bowed his head to the restored land in the ancient Mulan Temple: "No cause, no effect, cause and effect reincarnate!" As a result, the ancient Mulan Temple was burdened with the bleak shadow of the revenge of Taishi Lu of the Song Dynasty.
When Lu Meng was in trouble, he had great ambitions and a strong chest. He regarded the hard work of life as normal. He could chew vegetable roots, drink bitter water, and sleep on sand and gravel. But since he became the prime minister, After that, every day, he was well-dressed and well-fed, he was well-dressed, there were ceremonial guards in and out, and there were many beauties in the inner court. Wine, sex, and wealth replaced the classics and history. His arrogance gradually grew, his skin became weak, and he slowly transformed into a man who, although he had a lot of knowledge, could not weather the storm. A sick and weak man. One night, he tossed and turned on the bed repeatedly, but couldn't sleep. He felt uncomfortable. He finally waited until dawn. When he got up, he discovered that it was a jumper on the blanket on the bed that had disturbed him all night!
In the middle of winter this year, the north wind was howling and the snow was falling. The inner room of the Prime Minister's Mansion was warm as spring by the charcoal brazier. Lu Meng was sitting on his bed, surrounded by concubines. He suddenly When he asked to see the snow outside the door, the concubines helped him open the door to watch the snow, and caught some snow with their hands to look at it. After a while, Prime Minister Lu complained that he felt uncomfortable, and the concubines put him on the bed and hurriedly put him on the bed. Send someone to send the imperial doctor for diagnosis. At this time, Prime Minister Lu was already suffering from hotness and convulsions all over his body. After checking his pulse, the imperial doctor said that he was suffering from "cold wind on his fingers," and there was no cure. A poor generation of names and figures, able to live strong in sorrows, but died helplessly in happiness... The legend may not be consistent with historical facts, but it is full of profound connotations.
Times have changed. During the Anti-Japanese War, in the ancient Mulan Temple, which had experienced more than a thousand years of war and war, the original statue of Mulan was no longer there. It was replaced by the sandalwood statue of Guan Guan, a loyal man and the "God of Wealth". The wooden statue is commonly known as "Guan Erye" by the locals. This second master has red phoenix eyes, lying silkworm eyebrows, a long beard that brushes his chest, and neat armor. He sits on a red rabbit horse and holds a green dragon sword in his hand. He is majestic, not angry but proud of himself.
After enshrining Lord Guan Er, the people of Xishan consciously lived a relatively stable life, so the temple was still full of incense and offerings continued. This year, the Japanese, who were annoyed by the railway guerrillas who intercepted trains, dug up railways, raided foreign companies, and burned gun buildings, had been planning to retaliate against the railway team's base areas such as Xishan, Zhang'a, and Weishan Island along the lake. Because he couldn't figure out the reality, he didn't dare to take action. At the beginning of winter, a traitor appeared in Chapeng Village in the north of Shagou and secretly reported the situation of the guerrillas to the Japanese troops stationed in Lincheng. The Japanese soldiers attach great importance to this traitor. This guy also thinks that we don't know the news of his rebellion, so he often shows up in the streets and alleys. This traitor turned out to be a member of our guerrilla team, with relatively high activity energy, and he became brothers with the team members from Xishan and Zhang'a. The betrayal of the traitor made these bloody men with strong anti-Japanese consciousness, loyalty and face-saving anger unbearable, and they all asked the team for permission to expend this guy. On this day, there was a big gathering in Shagou. The traitors and the gangsters came to a porridge stall to drink porridge. As soon as they picked up the bowl and took the first sip, they were ambushed not far from him by a team member named Yin from Xishan who shot him with a box gun. Hit in the cheek, the traitor immediately fell to the ground, with blood and hot porridge flowing all over the floor. The sound of gunfire attracted the attention of the devils stationed at Shagou Station, and the market-goers ran around like a camp exploded with a bang. At this time, after the team member surnamed Yin fired a shot, because the box gun was old-fashioned, the bolt was knocked off. He suddenly realized that he raised the empty box gun without the bolt and shouted loudly: "I am Xishan Yin ××, I am Recognize brothers, this guy doesn't recognize anyone, so if you can help, get out of the way!" People rushed to get out of the way, and Yin took the opportunity to detour to Bei Xiezhuang and Caojia Village, and went straight to Xishan, boarded the boat and entered Weishan Lake. When the Japanese soldiers from Shagou Station rushed to the street, only the dying traitor with his cheeks shot through and a few helpless minions were left on the ground.
This action of the guerrillas made the Japanese even more angry. That night, all the Japanese and puppet troops in Lincheng and Shagou stations were dispatched, preparing to bloodbath Xishan and capture alive the guerrillas they hated so much. Just as these Japanese and puppet troops were marching toward the lake with great momentum, there was suddenly a heavy fog and a cold wind blowing between the sky and the earth, and it was impossible to see the faces of the people on the other side. But in the mist of the dance, the red light loomed in the remote Xishan Mountain. People were cheering, horses were neighing, and gold and armor were clashing. It seemed that countless troops were gathering and dispatching. These Japanese and puppet troops who came out of their lair were originally frightened birds with fierce looks and soft hearts. Seeing this formation, they thought that the main force of the Eighth Route Army had gathered in Xishan. In a panic, they hurriedly ordered to retreat to their lair and save their capital. During the evacuation, the Japanese, who were angry and frightened, set fire to the two villages of Caojia Village and Beixizhuang. Xishan miraculously escaped this disaster again. When the fog cleared at dawn, people were surprised to find that Guan Erye's horse in the temple was still wet with sweat. Erye seemed to be watching the people paying homage with a confident smile. Only then did everyone understand that this was the appearance of Emperor Guan Sheng who scared off the sun. The puppet army has protected the safety of all living beings. From then on, more and more people came to the ancient Mulan Temple to worship Lord Guan.
Mount Xishan more than two thousand years ago was tall and majestic. It had beautiful mountains, lush grass and dense forests. There were twists and turns of caves in the mountains and springs flowing all year round. One day, the bamboo chopsticks carried by an old man collecting firewood suddenly caught something. The old man stumbled backwards. When he looked carefully, he found that the teeth of the bamboo chopsticks were caught on a door knocker. The door knocker and door were made of stone, and the stone door was closed tightly. The old man felt strange. He had been collecting firewood in the mountains for many years and had never seen this stone door before. If there is a door, there may be a hole. The old man put down the bundle of firewood and the scorpion, pushed open the stone door, and a cave suddenly appeared in front of him. The old man walked along the cave. It was very spacious inside. At the end was a cave as big as a big house. There was a stone mill in the middle, and a shining golden pony was pulling the stone mill to grind something. If you look carefully, what drips down from the millstone are actually golden beans the size of soybean grains! As the old firewood collector grew up, he only heard about gold and silver treasures, but he had never seen such a rich gold nest, so he thought that he could become a millionaire from now on. He ran forward anxiously, telling his family that I was rich! The old man's family and most of the people in the mountain village were originally poor. When they heard that this rolling torrent of gold had arrived at an unexpected time, they were not moved by it. The leader of the family said calmly: "Time, fate, and luck." ! You lead the young people to accept it." The old man who collected firewood happily led everyone to the mountain. He looked around and couldn't find the origin of the stone door, the golden pony and the golden beans.
Later, some people said that the golden pony ran away after being seen by mortals. Others said that the woodcutter had high hopes and wanted to make the whole family rich together, so he asked his family to carry it, so Renzhi The head of the family realized that "greed is a danger!" so he hinted to the old firewood collector, "You have to pay attention!"
With the progress and development of society, new legends have been interpreted in legends. In the 1960s, when planes from Beijing were flying to Nanjing, they always felt like there was a gravitational force pulling them down when they came to the sky above Xishan Mountain. The air routes at that time were Jinpu Road and the Grand Canal, and the parallel midpoint of these two routes was exactly Xishan, pilots should report this flight sinking information as a matter of course. After one, two, and several times, first the Ministry of Aerospace Industry attracted attention, and then the relevant research institutions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences also noticed this unusual phenomenon. Therefore, the Ministry of Geology of China sent an exploration team in 1970 to conduct comprehensive geological exploration for dozens of miles around Xishan Mountain. The results confirmed that the rare earth mineral deposits in Xishan Mountain are the purest in Asia and the second largest in the country. , the legend of the golden pony was finally confirmed by science. Later, international media reported that the only rare earth mines in the United States had been legally closed as early as the 1980s, and the required rare earths were mainly imported from China. The reason why the Americans shut down rare earth mines is to leave resources for future generations and not to leave poverty pits!
Later people said that the tall and majestic beauty of Xishan Mountain in ancient times was supported by four mountain legs. As more and more people live around the mountain, the mountain spring water is not enough for drinking, so someone dug a large well in the fourth direction at the foot of Xishan Mountain. When the first large well was dug, it was in the southeast of the mountain. The red water flowed out, and Xishan Mountain was thirty feet shorter. Therefore, Xu Jie and Yu Shenxing of the Ming Dynasty called Xishan Mountain Chishan; When a large well was dug, yellow water flowed out, so Zhuangzi in the northeast and northwest adjacent to Xishan Mountain was called Huangzhuang and Huangbuzhuang. At this time, Xishan Mountain was thirty feet shorter; 1966 In March of that year, when another large well was dug on the west side of the mountain, this majestic mountain simply shrunk to 66.3 meters because it could not withstand the torment of humans, and became today's Xishan Mountain. At that time, the surrounding area of ??the mountain was already locked by trenches surrounding the village. Therefore, during the geological survey in 1970, the size of the mountain was determined and it could no longer grow taller from then on.
Because I was born and raised in Xishan, I have deep feelings for this lakeside mountain village that I will never forget. The mountain villages are beautiful and the folks are simple. Someone once counted that throughout the ages, no one in Xishan has starved to death, even in times of war and famine. Why? Not only is the mountain beautiful, but the water is beautiful! The plants and trees on this mountain have cultivated the greatness and perseverance of Xishan people, and the lotus root and polygonum in Weishan Lake have created the spirit of hard work and hard work for generations of fresh lives. Beautiful legends entrust better expectations, and better expectations will leave one beautiful legend after another for future generations.
