What does the classy tattoo you've been looking for look like? After doing these 86, I realized something!

"Having no aesthetic power is a terminal disease, and knowledge can't save it.

No one should be unfamiliar with hearing 'hauteur'.

As a tattoo creator, Seven often hears guests say, "I want that kind of tattoo design that has a very high-class feel to it".

But it's hard to tell how high...

Everyone has a different definition of "high class", and there are a thousand fat and thin Seven brothers in a thousand people's eyes.

Living in India, a big red with a big purple is high-class

Living in Northern Europe, a sexually cold high-class gray is the king.

Let's start with a quick little experiment

The same universe and explore, which of the following tattoos do you think is more advanced?

Of course, this is a very subjective judgment, not right or wrong, but delineating circles.

But anything that has the skill of a high-level sense of perspective allows you to stand at the top of the aesthetic contempt chain

The word "high-level sense" seems to have become the highest degree of praise for a thing, and sometimes complimenting a good cooler is not nearly as enjoyable as saying that there's a high-level sense of style.

It has nothing to do with fashion and popularity, and it doesn't care if you're poor or rich, but it's more beautiful than everything else.

Today, Seven will share with you my understanding of high-level tattoos, analyzing them purely from a design perspective. Regardless of which tattoo style, as long as the design is heartfelt, and can be given to the realization of the tattoo work are worthy of respect.

If I were to summarize the sense of hauteur with a few keywords, they would be: restraint, imagination, and extremity.

Restraint is what Dieter Rams, the father of German industrial design, said when he said, "Good design is designing as little as possible".

Primary aesthetics, think as long as the good-looking all want, the more abundant the more beautiful; and advanced aesthetics, is the beauty of carefully selected. The cool style that was once popular all over the world is full of restrained desire.

From the simple and clean design to the Morandi color scheme, this is exactly what we call "restraint".

It's comforting and pleasant, and conceals a healing energy.

One tattoo client I have a particular impression of is from Hong Kong, who was too much of a maverick for his own good, didn't make any close friends during his two-year college career, and accomplished nothing in the eyes of his parents. Not being understood, not being tolerated, his girlfriend in the Netherlands chose to leave when he was at the lowest point of his life ......

In the face of such a big topic, I didn't turn every experience into a comic strip, but summarized it in a cigarette box-sized picture, with a design inspired by the Tarot deck's "Orthogonal Swords III".

Three swords thrust into the heart, cleanly and without blood or tears. What can really get you out of trouble is not tears, but your own heart.

Another similar experience, a buddy, once lost, and self abandonment, and even thought of life, and ultimately still bar over, from the field to Guangzhou to start again. Now the work is stable, the girl has a ticket, life is very comfortable.

Life and death, how can the simplest way to touch directly? Man certainly cannot, only God.

I was inspired by Michelangelo's The Creation of Adam, part of the Book of Genesis, which depicts a biblical story in which God creates the first human, Adam.

Originally, there was Adam's hand on the left, representing humanity, and God's hand on the right, representing life.

In the design, I replaced the left hand with Death, and used the touch between Death and God to portray this moment. It was recommended by ins and received more than 2000 likes.

I didn't choose to use the blunt expression of a group of angels circling around a skeleton, I felt that leaving a blank circle was more intriguing than any complicated lines.

Imagination is all about leaving the right amount of white space and letting the person looking at it make up their own mind, which gives the design more depth.

Tattoos that feel cheesy are usually tattoos that are so straightforward that they're afraid you won't understand them. Premium sense, on the other hand, is the creation of clever white space, I know but I do not say, let you think for yourself.

In the erotic industry for many years in the seven brother, the desire to talk about the most feel the white, this skill can be grafted onto the tattoo creation.

There was once a girl who wanted a tattoo to express her thoughts on love.

Love is a very common theme for tattoos, and hearts and roses are all very straightforward elements to create. I chose Venus because she is the most beautiful goddess in Roman mythology.

The complexity and suffocating feeling of love is expressed by entangling the goddess with countless caressing hands and in the end no one knows what choice Venus will make ......

I remember a guest who wanted a tattoo to inspire her.

There were several rounds of collisions about this tattoo design, gradually refining it from abstract to figurative.

In the end, I created a faceless man with his mouth shut and his hands clasped around his heart, with the moon slowly rising in the deepest part of his consciousness.

A guest from Birmingham, UK, David, who likes to study psychology, found that he sometimes tends to think too much, resulting in a short circuit. After studying psychology, he knows how to self-regulate, and he says the best way to avoid brain water is to keep a restless mind.

I went through a lot of information about the brain, and by chance I found inspiration in Attack on Titan.

So I helped him design an open, choppy head that incorporates the full, vital face of a statue of David.

Every drop of water, every wave, that swirls around in his head is a complete expression of David's restless but determined life.

There was also an interesting guest who studied in Japan.

So I created a tattoo of a geisha with a skeleton, a beautiful woman using a Japanese fan to block her face, and under the light-permeable fan blades you can see the mouth of a man-eater.

Whether the geisha is a skeleton or the skeleton is a geisha, and what happened, no one knows.

By the way, she studied dentistry, so think for yourself.

Not listening to what you don't like, not looking at what's hot, and not being lazy about what doesn't matter should be the attitude of many young people.

I like this work myself, simple but full of suspense.

Once you see this tattoo, you probably know that I am such a person, what to say and do to me, think about it before you come back.

Imagination is the most powerful design weapon. It's the most romantic feeling when someone understands what you're trying to say.

Finally, let's talk about the technical side of premium.

It's a very low level of sophistication to be crude, and a high level of sophistication must be supported by competence.

Whether it's the ability to design, or the ability to realize, a superior sense of excellence, in fact, has a **** nature: hidden in every detail of the extreme.

And when it comes to tattoos, the details are the standard that determines whether a tattoo is durable.

In creating the work "Holding Hands", the young lady wanted to honor her grandmother, who was diagnosed with cancer 9 years ago, and the doctor said she only had 3 months, but miraculously made it to the present day by faith.

I thought long and hard about this image, considering that if I used a realistic style to portray the hand, the pattern might not be very beautiful (the skin texture of the elderly is too dense).

After all, a tattoo is a record that you keep for the rest of your life, and while it's important to have meaning, beauty is a must.

Instead of using the realistic style of the past, I found inspiration for this work in the paintings of the Expressionist master Schiele. I abstracted the hands of the two old men into seemingly random lines, which preserved the original composition of the photo and showed the hands holding each other tightly.

The same tattoo commemorates the affection of a mother of two babies.

Because elephant mothers are models of parenting, not only do they teach their young many skills, but they also go out of their way to protect them when they are in danger.

With reference to the characteristics of the elephant above, I used half of the single stitch to express the delicacy of motherhood, and the other half of the geometric lines to express the strength and power of the elephant.

There is also a tattoo about an eternal embrace.

I slowly etched the texture of the skin of the two people embracing with a single needle as thick as a hair. It took me five or six hours to finish this cigarette-box-sized figure.

Even if the carcass is dried up and weathered, the love is still there. Each line is a mark of time.

I rarely take oversized drawings, because single-needle tattoos are too taxing on the eyes and the waist.

One of the more impressive is a little brother who loves Pikachu. Since he got his first Pikachu tattoo in March 2020, he has gotten 7 mice one after another, filling up half of his Tshirt.

So I created a fluffy realistic Pikachu with a cute cartoon Pikachu hood.

Next there was one flying rat warrior after another, and finally the blank spaces were filled in with geometric lines and fluttering bats to make a complete rat arm.

One more example of tattoo overlay.

Tattoo overlays are dirty work, not only are they creatively limited, but they also require large areas of color.

It's even more of a gamble for the guest to be either ugly for life or dark and ugly for life.

The guest is from Foshan, a Vlog travel blogger, because he has to be on camera a lot, and is not satisfied with the previous old picture, so he came to Seven to cover it.

Considering that the new image has to be combined with the original composition, so as to realize the coincidental cover in the smallest scope.

I conceptualized a Big Bang design, inspired by Yoko Otomo's Akira. A black explosion cloud was used to cover an old tattoo, plus a single stitch detail to portray the impact of the explosion.

The sun rays in the original old image have been subtly transformed into radiating lines in the new image.

In order to make the overall tattoo more vivid, I ended up using highlights to embellish the image, which will be more three-dimensional after processing, and also with the dazzle of the explosion.

Because of a restless heart, we met in Guangzhou Sao Tattoo, gathered in this less than 30 square meters tattoo studio.

In the hours-long tattoo process, accompanied by jazz music, the tattoo machine gently electric current sound, I work quietly while listening to your story, see a psychiatrist general experience.

10 years ago, working in chip design, I never imagined myself as a media personality and tattoo artist.

10 years later, I hope to be a director of small movies that can move the world, and at the same time own a 300 square feet tattoo parlor where I can talk about life with tattoo lovers and art lovers from all over the world over a glass of wine.

In 2021, in addition to sharing anecdotes from the niche world, I'll start shooting video, and I'll be sharing my experiences and insights, and of course, your tattoo stories, so let's run together and make progress.

The world is a beautiful place because of friendships!

Although life is cruel to us, we will still love life.
