Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was her debut movie and the first time she showed herself to a world audience (I became a huge fan), and after battling it out with a number of other girls, Emma ended up winning the role of the role of Hermione. Outside of the theater, Emma loves to play field hockey. She dressed up as a witch for Halloween, not realizing that she would soon play a real witch in Harry Potter.
Emma hopes to take on other roles: "I played Hermione, who was delicate, brash and pretty, and now I'd like to play something completely different, like a normal girl in a college in America. I want to play any kind of role, but right now it looks like I'm going to have to stay on the Harry Potter set for a while."
As a judge at the 2004 First Light Film Awards in London's Leicester Square, which is dedicated to teenagers, she was surrounded by famous movie stars such as Pierce Brosnan.
Just two months after her 13th birthday, she squeezed into the top ten of the most popular girl stars.
Sprained her wrist while filming the second movie.
Shares the same birthday as the character of Professor Trelawney in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and both are called Emma.
One of the hardest scenes to film was when Neville, with his toad Trevor, says to Emma, "Would you like to say goodnight to him. " Emma can't help but laugh every time this is filmed. "I know I'm supposed to look like I hate your guts, but I just couldn't help myself, and it took about eight takes to finish the scene." Emma said.
My friends do care about my reputation, but they're just curious and often ask me about it.
"That's a good thing, they're always asking you the same questions and all I have to do is stand there and answer the same answers. There's no need to think at all, it's like a broken record that just makes the same sound."
Of her role as Hermione, she commented, "She's a crazy girl and not very grumpy but strong."
