How to get from Xiamen North Railway Station to Zengcu_Village by bus? What is there to do in Xiamen Zengcuo_?

For a foodie, no matter where you go, food always comes first. Although the scenery is beautiful, I have always thought that food is the place where he can y feel the different cultural characteristics of the local. Only food can not be let down, especially the seafood eaten inland is not very fresh. I started eating quit after this visit to Tsang Chu_Village.

Many people say that Zengcuo_Village is lively at night. You can slow down and weave between the roads with snacks on both sides. You can stay in front of the taverns, listen to your favorite songs and miss the people you want. (Better yet, go in for a drink, of course.) It's none of your business when other people are bustling around. You just need to be quiet and empty yourself!

Zengcuo_Village, a place that I never knew the word "Cuo", but I am getting more and more familiar with it.

A view of Zengcuo_Village

A month before my departure, my friends who had been to Xiamen kept recommending me to stay in Zengcuo_Village, saying that it was convenient. So I looked for bookings on various apps and found that they were all B&Bs.

After we finished shooting on the beach, we first passed through a sports park where there were countless studios taking wedding photos and people's stores were very busy.

Then we went to the calligraphy park.

The Eight Methods of Yongzi

I believe that those who have practiced regular script will be particularly good at this "eight-stroke method", which is the law of Chinese calligraphy. This article describes the method of writing in chunks, using the eight-stroke sequence of "Yong" as an example.

After enjoying the calligraphy and reminiscing about the past for a while in the park, we were driven by the hunger in our stomachs and the desire for seafood to take a step towards Tsang Chu_Village.

I don't know why this kilometer is particularly long. It could be the subway under maintenance blocking the road ahead or too many bicycles on the road. Anyway, it took me a long time to see the signboard of Zengcuo_Village.

The Zengcuo_Village waterfront pagoda

Next to the pagoda is a uniquely shaped footbridge with so many people on it that it seems like it will collapse at any moment.

The footbridge is shaped much like a snake eaten down to its skeleton, snaking its way from the seashore to the mouth of the alcove. The bridge didn't seem to have city police to keep an eye on it. There are vendors everywhere, and if you're not careful, you'll step on someone's goods. It instantly reminded me of the Ditan Flyover a decade or so ago.

Walking on the steps made of wooden planks, I felt a little uneasy, gripping the handrail tightly, protecting my stomach and camera, and sneaking around to avoid the crowd.

After a while, I saw the "food court" on the bridge.

This is even worse than the traffic at the Temple Fair in Ditan!

Give me a close-up.

Zengcuo_Village_Food_Street

I followed people off the bridge while searching for the most affordable restaurants on Dianping.

But the crowd was so heavy that moving to the restaurant was a technical task. So we just went with the flow.

Plus I was really hungry, so I followed the crowd into the food court.

While I grew up not being a fan of "following the crowd", sometimes there is nothing wrong with the popular choice. With a wide range of snacks and the unique hospitality of southern Fujian, the food court really doesn't disappoint.

With large intestine and small intestine (10 yuan)

In fact, before coming to Xiamen, the most expected is the Taiwan Province of snacks. Every year, all sorts of Taiwan Province food festivals are held in MAINLAND CHINA, but anyone who has been there has left me with a lot of great memories. So thinking that Xiamen is so close to Taiwan Province, that snack must be the closest and most authentic.

Zengcuo_Village did not disappoint.

The well-known "big intestine wrapped small intestine" uses three kinds of sausages baked on the stone. The rice sausage is cut up, then shredded cucumber, sweet chili sauce, then squid ink sausage and sausage are added. The flavors of the three foods blend together to create a new taste experience, stimulated by the refreshing cucumber foil and sweet chili sauce.

Buttoned soft and sticky with a compelling aroma.

Shrimp Eggs (NT$15)

This is the first time I've had shrimp eggs made in an octopus ball mold to such a "high standard".

The quail egg and shrimp, with no extra toppings, was nutritious and satisfying. And it's reasonably priced, you can have 12 of them for 15 dollars (maybe the owner gave me a few extra, hahaha). Anyway, it was really amazing. No fishy smell from the eggs and the sea prawns were fresh. They were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside

A little further in, there's a "seafood barbecue" place that you can't see the end of. Here we have to marvel at the "Wenzhou model" of Chinese store ownership. The same type of store together, not only can attract guests from afar, but also convenient for customers to compare prices. What's more, before the price alliance is formed, they will fight a price war for the sake of business, so that consumers can get some benefits.

Baked conch (50 yuan)

Lobster (50 yuan)

Squid whiskers

Because of the psychology of always comparing Thailand, so I still feel that everything is stifling attraction tourists, but on the third day of the visit to Gulangyu Island, I found that Zengcuo_Village is really "affordable".

I realized that there seems to be a spell over me. Whenever I want to eat seafood and go out, I'm bound to get allergies for various reasons. No, there was fresh seafood in front of me, but I was allergic to a duck's paw in the afternoon, so I had to look at it and not eat it.

Grilled oysters ($10 for 10)

No, got pushed and shoved by the crowd and ended up squeezing into a barbecue place and ordering a couple of stir-fries and a plate of baby oysters.

In the end, the attraction is the attraction, I do not say that this small store "small mind", it is just an extra charge for meals, deliberately check out more money when taking the "wrong" list. But the flavor of roasted oysters is still very good. After all, the meat is tender and delicious. Unfortunately, it was a bit small.

Here do not recommend point "sea shrimp". I don't know if it's the scenery or the location of Xiamen. The shrimp here is ridiculously small, the meat is not firm, so they have the feeling of being cheated. I have to sigh, seafood or the beauty of Jiaozhou Bay. After all, a prawn caught for 38 yuan in Qingdao is the same as one caught for 38 yuan in Xiamen, not an order of magnitude.

Roasted "sea shrimp"

After dinner, I was naturally satisfied. I fought my way out of the crowded Tsangchu_Village and boarded a bus back to my hotel.

The overall feel of Zengcuo_Village is a bit like Bangkok's Leeward Road. Both the level of excitement and the service offerings are quite similar.

Outside the house, the square dancing ladies stretched out in front of the small temple brought me back to reality.

Ladies Square Dance

Zengcuo_Village, a place that is worth a visit, but not necessary.

The Tsang's ancestral shrine

Back at the hotel, my calves felt a bit sore after a long day. So began to miss the cheap roadside massages in Chiang Mai. With a dreamlike melancholy, tomorrow, go to summer college!

Notes

1. Accommodation, Xiamen is the most important BB, a few steps away. Comparison can be checked in.

2. Zengcuo_Village food will be much cheaper than other food streets, especially seafood, is to eat the choice.

3. Daytime play at the beach must be good sun protection measures. It is best to bring a jacket, the temperature difference between morning and evening will be relatively large.
