School
The little swallows stop at the branches,
Forgetting to dance,
Tilting their heads and listening quietly, listening.
The sparrows also stopped twittering,
listening softly.
Turns out,
a reading symphony was playing in the school building.
The crisp sound of the dismissal bell,
broke the silence of the campus.
The children ran out of the classroom,
running to the playground,
playing and playing.
By the river
Some little feet lapped in the water,
pants, dresses,
full of splashes.
A splash,
and the fish that caught it popped into the river,
and the shadows of the weeping willows and the smiling faces of the children shattered,
