Taihe County has a history of more than 2,000 years since it was established in the Qin Dynasty, and was changed to Taihe County in the eighth year of the Yuan Dynasty (1304), which means peace and harmony. There are seven ruins of the old city, the ancient Juyang, the capital of Chu, five ancient cultural sites and ancient buildings such as the Yuan Dynasty Temple Complex.
