Walking a different way gives me unexpected surprises

As usual, after sending my children to school, I went for a run in the nearby mountains to exercise.

The mountain is long and narrow, with many entrances and exits. I will choose the entrance closest to the kindergarten to climb the mountain, because it is the most convenient. Climb up the stone steps and you can reach the fitness track in about ten minutes. It is said to be a red road because the entire road is paved with red gravel, like a winding red silk, surrounding the mountainside. Every morning, there are many people coming and going to exercise on the red road, and occasionally you will meet a few acquaintances.

Every time I climb up the red road, I always habitually run the left path until the end of the road, do some stretching, and then go back the same way. The day before yesterday, after I climbed up the red trail, I tried to run to the right to see. It can be said that this is the first time I have taken this road. The road on the right is twice as long as the one on the left. There are two or three pavilions and platforms, and there are several square dances. When we came to the end of the road, there was a large platform surrounded by stone piers. Many people were already stretching along the stone piers.

While I was stretching, a dozen women wearing the same T-shirts came up from the stone steps at the bottom of the mountain. They were similar in age to me, and they had probably just given birth to their children. A group of people chatted and laughed, got together and formed a formation, then turned on the speakers and started dancing.

What they dance is not a brainwashing square dance, but an aerobics filled with youthful vitality. Several team leaders took turns leading the performance. Every movement was very powerful, and the softness revealed strength and confidence. Many people who exercised, including me, were immediately attracted and danced with them. After a few jumps, I was sweating profusely and exercised more than I had done in the previous week.

During the break, I learned that they are also residents living nearby. After sending their children to school, they come over to exercise, go back and take a shower, and then do their own things. As long as it doesn't rain, they dance and exercise there almost every day. Especially the three team leaders are in very good shape, with almost no extra fat, which is very enviable.

I feel like I met them too late. Why didn’t I meet them earlier? But it’s not too late to practice, so I happily joined them. After that, I did aerobics with them for several days and planned to continue dancing. Although it was tiring, it was worth it.

I tried to take a new path, but I found a group of fitness experts. Compared to exercising alone before, being with them makes me more motivated to exercise. Everyone encourages and supervises each other, the movements become more and more neat, the rhythm becomes better and better, and most importantly, the body will become better and better during exercise!

This is sometimes the case, when you feel that life is boring, when you feel that things have no clue, you might as well take a new road, maybe you will see a different scenery and find a different way out.

Thinking back to a few years ago, we had a project for testing. All other ICs were OK, but there was one flash read and write operation that always failed to meet expectations. We were stuck on this problem for two days and couldn't do anything. Saturday was supposed to be a rest day, so my colleague and roommate R and I came to the company to work overtime. Thinking that I am idle anyway, I might as well test the flash again to see if I can make any new discoveries.

We changed from the previous method of verifying directly after starting the system to controlling the flash when entering the boot stage, and then sending instructions to perform corresponding operations. Such an unintentional move actually solved our lagging problem - flash reading and writing became normal. After the system was up, we performed corresponding operations and found that it was normal.

After several verifications, we found the crux of the problem: that flash needs to issue an additional command before issuing read and write commands. It can be added directly to the kernel, so there is no need to enter it every time. Operate the boot again, or preload instructions in the boot, and the kernel remains unchanged. The differences in flash between different manufacturers are usually not big, but the one we use is a little different. Its extra instructions are optional instructions and are rarely involved in the finished product.

When we told the boss the good news, he was also very happy. Two days later, one of our partners came over for a meeting. The flash they used had a similar problem. They also contacted the original manufacturer's technical support, but the problem was still not solved. Hearing that we had dealt with it, they asked us for advice on how to deal with it, and their frowns gradually relaxed.

In this way, a seemingly ordinary and small problem has become an obstacle for us to move forward. But we two little-known little girls, with an unconscious move, actually found and solved the problem. This incident left a very deep impression on me. When you encounter a problem that is difficult to solve, you might as well change your mind and find another approach, and you may make unexpected discoveries. The satisfaction and sense of accomplishment brought by solving problems are unmatched by other methods.

Things determine the way out. Sometimes, when you turn around, it suddenly becomes clear. This is how you do things and how you behave.
