The China Tibetan Song Contest is a key variety show of Sichuan TV in 2011. According to the initial plan, China Tibetan Opera Club was to be officially launched in early summer of 2011. In order to fully understand the market situation before the official launch, such as the enthusiasm and quality of contestants' participation, viewers' feedback and preferences, we decided to launch the first season of Tibetan Opera Club during the Chinese New Year period, and to make use of the Chinese New Year holiday to produce a five-episode mini Tibetan Opera Club. The event will follow the rules of the Tibetan Song Contest to gather contestants who love Tibetan songs from all over the country, and determine the king of the heavenly voice through promotion.
Meanwhile, the purpose of broadcasting the Tibetan Song Club during the Spring Festival period is also to give full play to the lively and festive national characteristics of Tibetan songs and dances, and to convey our blessings for the coming year through the exuberant tap dances, enthusiastic potpourri, auspicious khaddar, and touching songs, so that every viewer who sees our program will also experience the happiness and joy from it, and will see the people of Sichuan, who have gone through the devastating Wenchuan Earthquake of May 12, Aba people's positive, optimistic and enthusiastic spirit and attitude towards life.
2010 was the 60th anniversary of the founding of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan, and a series of celebrations were held there in October. Our station had videotaped and broadcast it. This celebration without any pre-publicity and packaging, with its almost original production process, surprisingly stood out in the prime time and achieved a good ratings, even higher than many well-produced programs. This shows the popularity of Tibetan songs and dances among audiences, a fact that strengthens our resolve to produce the Chinese Tibetan Song Festival.
