The difference between Gannan tea-picking dance and Minnan tea-picking dance

The main difference is the singing voice. The stage language of Gannan tea-picking opera is local Hakka dialect. It carries songs and dances, the atmosphere is relaxed and lively, the language is humorous and funny, the local Han folk oral literature, folk songs and dances, lanterns and colors in one, with a strong sense of life. Minnan tea-picking tune is the source of the formation of "Gezai Opera". At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Gezai's tunes absorbed the folk songs and dances of southern Fujian, such as the "tea-picking tune" and the "flat drum", combined with the "seven-character and four-word" songs of Taiwanese folk, and borrowed the traditional Chinese theater performance form, which gradually became the most popular form of Gezai. The performance form of traditional Chinese drama was gradually formed into a kind of ancient costume singing opera sung in Minnan language, i.e. "Gezai Opera".
