The emblem of China 2010 Shanghai World Expo was created through a global call for entries and expert evaluation. It is a visual symbol that centrally reflects the concept. The emblem of Shanghai World Expo 2010 was announced on November 29, 2004 at the "Ceremony for the Unveiling of the Emblem of Shanghai World Expo 2010, China". The emblem pattern is based on the Chinese character "世", which is the original form of calligraphy creativity, and the number "2010". The design of the emblem is based on the Chinese character "世", which is the creative form of calligraphy, and is skillfully combined with the number "2010", complementing each other and expressing the strong desire of the Chinese people to hold a world-class, multicultural fusion exposition event. The emblem design looks like a family of three embracing each other in a figurative sense, which expresses the harmony of the family. In a broader sense, it can also represent all human beings including "you, me and him", which expresses the concept of "Understanding, Communication, Gathering and Cooperation" and the positive pursuit of people-oriented of Shanghai World Expo. [Edit Paragraph]Expo Mascot
2010 Shanghai World Expo Mascot China 2010 Shanghai World Expo mascot, was unveiled on December 18, 2007 at 20:00 hours. The mascot was designed by Wu Yongjian and named "Hai Bao (HAIBAO)", which means "Treasure of the Four Seas", and the main body is in the shape of the blue character "人". The design of the mascot for the Shanghai World Expo is based on the interpretation of the theme "Better City, Better Life", and creatively chooses the Chinese character "人" as the creative point. The blue color of the mascot expresses the elements of earth, dream, ocean, future, science and technology, which is in line with the theme of "Better City, Better Life" of the Shanghai World Expo. The overall image of the mascot has a simple structure, simple message, easy to memorize, and suitable for dissemination. Although there is only one mascot, through the interpretation of actions and changes in clothing, it can be changed in many different ways, showing a variety of styles. "Water is the source of life. The mascot's main form is water, and its color is blue like the sea, indicating China's new posture of integrating into the world and embracing the world. Hai Bao embodies the ideal of multi-cultural integration of the city, the praise of economic prosperity and sustainable environmental development, the scientific and technological innovation of the city and the infinite possibilities of development. It embodies "people's" hope for the unlimited possibilities of technological innovation and development in the city; it also embodies "people's" wish for the remodeling of the urban community; and it also embodies "people's" vision for the prosperity of both the city and the countryside *** together. Haibao is the desire for a colorful life, the blessing of a colorful life, and the warm invitation of Shanghai, China to friends from all over the world. Taking the Chinese character "人" as the core idea, it not only reflects the characteristics of Chinese culture, but also echoes the design concept of the Shanghai World Expo emblem. It is an innovation to be the first to use the character as the mascot design idea in the design of mascots for international large-scale events. Hair: like rolled waves, it looks lively and personalized, pointing out the regional characteristics and life source of the mascot's birthplace. Face: cartoonish and simple expression, friendly and full of confidence. Eyes: Big, round eyes, full of anticipation for the city of the future. Blue color: full of inclusiveness and imagination, symbolizing China, which is full of hope and potential for development. Body: rounded body, showing the beautiful feeling of living in harmony, cute and playful. Fist: Thumbs up, a sign of approval and welcome to friends all over the world. Big feet: standing firmly on the ground, becoming a strong support for the enthusiastic open arms, signaling China's ability and determination to host the World Expo. The mutually supportive structure of the Chinese character "人" also reveals the idea that a better life depends on you and me***. Only when all the "people" in the world support each other, and when people and nature, people and society, and people live in harmony with each other, will such a city make life better. The creative shape of the word "people" will become the mascot symbol and cultural icon of the World Expo in Shanghai, China, relying on the communication platform of the Shanghai World Expo.
