Finland Chen, a female singer, was born in 1948 in Tainan, Taiwan, and grew up in Sanjiu. She became popular in Taiwanese society with her song "Wish of an Orphaned Woman", and is known as Taiwan's "American Air Lark". When Finland Chen was in kindergarten, she began taking dance lessons.
