Re-visit the orphanage group "winged angels" okay?

There is a description full of goodwill and expectation - every orphan is a "winged angel". This edition has paid attention to a group of special children - orphans group in 2012, behind each of them, there is a heart-wrenching story: some are suffering from congenital heart disease at a young age, and were abandoned by their parents in less than 7 days of birth; some lost their parents in the Wenchuan earthquake, and came to the orphanage to live; and some can only live with their elderly and sickly grandparents after both of their parents have died. After both parents died, some of them can only stay with their old and sick grandparents. ......5 Years have passed, how are these children doing? What changes have taken place in their lives? What kind of help do they still need? "June 1" before and after Children's Day, the reporter re-visited some of the orphans.

■ "Princess Xiang Xiang" is well, take care of her sister married

The reporter is most thinking of the interview is less than a year old "Princess Xiang Xiang". The little Xiangxiang was the youngest child in the private children's welfare institution - "365 Morning Glory Baby Home" (hereinafter referred to as the "Baby Home"), thick eyebrows and big eyes, especially cute. But because of the congenital heart disease was abandoned by his parents in the hospital, to the "baby home" when just seven days, and later was found to be suffering from liver damage, the need for long-term medication.

"Why call her 'Fragrant Princess' is because at the time of her treatment, she had to take several baths with Chinese medicine every day, and her body always smelled good, and she was the best-smelling child in the family." "Baby Home" founder Zhao Liping said with a smile.

"I'm not called Xiang Xiang anymore, I have my own name!" Leaning on the side of Zhao Liping Xiangxiang wide-eyed, took out the textbook to show the reporter her name. This year, more than 6 years old Xiangxiang will soon go to elementary school, in the public welfare people funded, is a private school to read the preschool class. After returning home from school in the afternoon, lying on the floor cushions in the room to read and write homework, from time to time called "Zhao mother", asked one or two questions, and then mischievous smile, and ordinary people mother and daughter get along with the same pattern.

Zhao Liping quietly told reporters: "two years ago Xiangxiang's liver disease is very serious, the hospital recommended to replace the liver. But at that time there is no money, but who can not bear to give up the treatment, they asked around for Chinese medicine prescription, every day to her decoction, feeding medicine, I did not expect to really cured!" What's more, Xiangxiang's heart disease healed itself. The company's newest product is a new product that will be available in the U.S. and Canada, and it will be available in the U.S. and Canada.

"Is the deaf-mute sister who took care of Xiangxiang at that time still there?" the reporter asked, taking out the photos taken in the past. The reporter asked, taking out a photo taken in the past.

"This is Qingliu, has been 'married' from us, her husband is good to her, living quite well!" Zhao Liping said with relief.

Many of the children in the photo are still living in the "Baby Home".

"Guess who this is?" Zhao Liping smiled and brought over a chubby little girl. "I'm Mei, I can walk!" Looking at the lively and cheerful Xiaomei, the reporter was surprised. 5 years ago to see Xiaomei, suffering from severe congenital "horseshoe inversion", can only crawl on the ground with his hands and feet, and now even stood up! Zhao Liping said that in the past few years, Xiao Mei successively did four or five corrective surgery, before and after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in fund-raising, finally able to stand up and walk.

Love to sing Xiao Ru grew into a big girl. Zhao Liping proudly said, "Xiao Ru is now the 'boss' of our family, taking care of her younger siblings every day, is my big helper."

Over the years, children have come and gone from the "Baby Home". Some have grown up like Qingliu and found their own place in life; some have recovered and returned to their original orphanages; and some have left this world forever. Zhao Liping pointed to the photo of the child in the arms of Ru, some sad: "This is Ming Ming, suffering from congenital retinoblastoma, also known as eye cancer, is because of this disease was abandoned by his parents. 2013 when the onset of a very strong, in the hospital treatment for four months, and finally did not rescue, when he left the age of 3 years old."

■5 years moved 3 times, most looking forward to a stable place

"365 Morning Glory Baby Home" is a civil society organization founded by Zhao Liping in 2010, over the years to help a lot of cerebral palsy or physically disabled orphans. Through cooperation with the orphanage, Zhao Liping will need rehabilitation treatment of children received "baby home", care, the children are here as their own home, affectionately called Zhao Liping "Zhao mother".

Now the "baby home" has long been out of the original address, 5 years, Zhao Liping with the children moved 3 times, the more moved away from the city farther.

"The earliest rented room in Gaobeidian, although the area is not large, but very close to the city, take the child to the doctor, go out to buy things are very convenient." Zhao Liping said that the stable days did not last long, in October 2013, the house in Gaobeidian was designated for demolition, they had to move their family to Da Niu Fang in Xibeiwang town, Haidian District. It didn't take long for them to live there to be demolished as well, and in August 2014, Zhao Liping moved again with her children to the neighborhood of Xiaoluyi in Tongzhou.

"It's not easy to find a place suitable for children to live, and the rent has to be cheap, and there has to be space for activities and rehabilitation rooms. The house in Tongzhou is only 300 square meters in size and has no yard, making it difficult to meet the needs of 25 children using it." In order to make the children live more comfortably, in August 2016, Zhao Liping moved her home again to Dongba neighborhood outside the East Fifth Ring Road, with a small independent yard.

Pushing open the door of the courtyard, a sliver of bungalows on the right, in turn, is the children's bedrooms and rehabilitation room, directly across from three rooms, respectively, the kitchen and classroom, one or two hundred square meters of the courtyard enough for the children to spread joy. But Zhao Liping heart is still not solid, "I'm afraid of suddenly encountered demolition or other things, this house is not allowed to rent, but also have to move."

The move has left a shadow on Zhao Liping and the children. Almost every time you move in time for the three-volt days, more than 20 people's belongings, all the bunk beds, closets, clothes and other miscellaneous items need to be dismantled, packing, despite the help of volunteers, is still a huge project, each time to toss a month to really finish moving. "After moving but also packing it, another month." Zhao Liping said that after each move, the adults had to get sick, and the children were even more restless. "Moving means that the children need to re-adapt to the new environment in terms of food and living, which is a great test for the psychology and growth of normal children, not to mention orphaned children, who require a higher degree of familiarity with the environment. In the first few weeks after arriving at the new home, there were children crying every night, looking for the original home." Zhao Liping admits that the thought of a house now worries her.

The move also had an impact on her children's regular school attendance. When I was in Gaobeidian, my home and school were next to each other in the front and back yards, and my three school-age children were able to go to school. After the move, the school was far away and transportation was difficult, so Zhao Liping had to invite teachers to her home to teach the children.

"What I'm most looking forward to is for the 'Baby Home' to have a stable place to live and for us to stop moving so often. We can find ways to overcome the difficulties of low funding and lack of manpower, but we can't do anything about the place, so I hope the government can help us in this regard." Zhao Liping confessed.

■"Sister, can you go to see us perform?" The company's first step is to make sure that the company has the right to be able to provide its customers with the best possible service," said Mr. Kennedy. Several groups of people have come to visit the children, some of them are regular weekly groups of volunteers, and some of them are the first time to come here to give love to the enterprise, community representatives.

"Sister, we have a charity sale on June 1 at the Asian Games Village Xinao Center, and we'll be performing, singing and dancing. Seeing Xiao Zhou, a volunteer who comes to see her every week, Xinyu, who only has weak eyesight, happily hugged her sister and pulled her to the side to whisper. When Xiao Zhou heard Xin Yu's question, she hesitated a little and before she could answer, Xin Yu immediately smiled nicely, "You can't go, can you? It's okay, I can understand." Sister hurriedly coaxed Xin Yu, "I didn't say that I can't go, I'm just counting whether there are any other arrangements on that day. I'd love to go!"

When Xiao Zhou spoke with reporters, she said that most of these children are lively and cheerful, and like to communicate with others, but they are also sensitive, and it's not easy to really get inside their hearts. Zhou's volunteer group is more professional, every Thursday afternoon will come to the "baby home", to help the children bathe, clean, and chat with the children.

"Ouch, help me, this child is too heavy, I can't hold him alone." The two volunteers combined their efforts and carried Xiaomei, who is more than 3 years old, out of the bathroom. Xiao Mei is Zhao Liping from Xinjiang Urumqi Children's Welfare Institution took over the child, because of severe cerebral palsy, can not sit or speak, can only lie in bed, eating, drinking, and need to be cared for, and every day there is a fixed rehabilitation task.

"Thanks to the help of these volunteers, we can't keep aunts here, a cerebral palsy children are not good care, let alone more than 20." Zhao Liping said that there is a lot of rehabilitation and care work, and in the summer they have to bathe the children one by one and do rehabilitation therapy, so the manpower is always very tight. Even to the children's classes hired by the teacher, sometimes there will be a "broken" situation. Many times, it is Zhao Liping himself to the children's classes.

And not all volunteers can help. "There is a display board on the wall in front of the "Baby Home" with special instructions for volunteers to visit, including: not to ask the children about their condition or history, and not to give them food, etc. But there are still many first-time volunteers, and they are not allowed to visit the children. But many first-time volunteers still find it difficult to comply with these rules, and their care for the children is more loving than professional.

At 3:00 or 4:00 p.m., when the children's study time is over, the reporter found that some volunteers brought popsicles and went directly into the classroom to distribute them to the children. Other volunteers would unconsciously say sensitive words or show compassion when facing some children with disabilities. As most of them lack the knowledge and skills of professional social workers, they don't know what to do when dealing with children. Zhao Liping is also very helpless, "We are grateful to the volunteers who come to offer their love, and we try to guide them where they can't do it. I hope that with the progress of society, volunteerism can be more standardized and professional."
