1. Bamboo Dance
Bamboo dance is considered as a national folk dance in the Philippines. During the performance, a pair of dancers jumped between two bamboo poles slightly above the ground and collided with the music rhythm. Bamboo dance originated in Leyte province, which actually imitates the jumping action of birds when they are in trees, straws or avoiding traps set by farmers. When the dancers perform, their movements are quite elegant and they jump quickly between bamboo poles.
2. Duck dance
There is a legend about the origin of duck dance. According to legend, a young woman named Kanang is the best dancer in North surigao Province. At a christening reception, she was asked to dance swing dance, and she began to improvise a duck splashing water on its back as it swayed to attract its companions. Because of its unique pace and charming performance, the audience began to imitate her, so duck dance spread widely in the Philippines.

This kind of dance is regarded as a national dance, a courtship dance of Filipinos, and also reflects the friendly, lovely and enthusiastic character of Filipinos. Carino Sa is a word to describe a kind, friendly and lovely woman. This dance uses flirting, and helps dancers play hide-and-seek through fans and handkerchiefs. The dance performance is lively and interesting, which makes people intoxicated in a cheerful and lively atmosphere.
