After the operation, He Yiyi slept for two days, and when he woke up, his left leg was gone, "but his life was saved for the time being". The family asked him how he was doing, and he said, "It's comfortable, it doesn't hurt."
For the life after the amputation, the young He Yiyi did not have a clear concept. He recalled, "I was still young, I only knew that the onset of pain, and I was not clear about the future. I felt from the beginning of the amputation that I must be able to stand up."

The teenager who once broke through defenses with a shimmy of his footwork on the green field needed to learn how to walk again from the moment he stepped out of his hospital bed.
