Guangzhou Radio Starts Broadcasting
On February 20, an enlarged meeting of the Propaganda Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Party Committee of the People's Republic of China (CPC) discussed and decided that the Municipal Radio and Television Bureau (MRTVB) would be in charge of the preparatory work for the construction of Guangzhou Radio.

March 15, the organization of all the party members, members of the group participated in the "I contribute to the greening of Guangzhou" tree-planting activities.
On March 18, the "Golden Song Radio" launched a radio storytelling mini-feature "Guangzhou Stories" about Guangzhou's folk customs from March 18 onwards, with one episode aired every day.
On March 19, all cadres and employees were organized in batches to carry out revolutionary traditional education activities, and the first batch of people went to Yunnan and Guizhou from March 19 to 25 for study and inspection.

April 1, "Golden Melody Radio" held a two-month "Program Idea Competition" from April 1 to May 31, in which the program "Beautiful Voice Competition" won the grand prize. The program "Beautiful Voice Contest" won the grand prize of the contest.
April 16, the party committee held a party branch secretary study class, the main content is to study the "three" important ideas, study and analyze the ideological situation of party members and the work of the exhibition group.
April 18, by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Radio, Film and Television, Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication and Radio and Television approval, agreed to the radio station in Guangzhou Huagoshan radio and television transmission towers, Whampoa Power Plant Office Building, Panyu Building, the use of 106.1MHz FM synchronous broadcasting test, broadcasting programs for the Guangzhou radio station economic and environmental protection broadcasting (the third set) program.
On April 19, a tug-of-war competition was jointly organized with the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio and Television (GZBPRT), in which 300 employees from the two organizations*** participated in the competition; a team from GZBPRT won the championship, while a team from the radio station "Golden Melody Radio" won the first runner-up prize.
On April 30, the Party Committee decided to separate the Discipline Inspection Office and the Supervision Office from the office and co-locate them to further strengthen the work of discipline inspection and supervision.
