Mongolian Impression

?

? Living in Inner Mongolia, I have many Mongolian friends around me, and I have always wanted to write about the Mongolian impressions around me.

? Most Mongolians are robust, with broad faces, high cheekbones, long thin eyebrows and straight noses. Mongolian men are physically strong and bold. The women have a full-bodied body and a warm and friendly demeanor. On weekdays they wear casual clothes or suits like us Han Chinese. Mongolians who grew up in the city speak fluent Chinese, while most Mongolians in the pastoral areas speak Chinese in a more rigid manner. Mongolians love to drink, sing and dance, and I often attend their parties to sing with them and experience the charm of their culture.

A month ago, I attended a Mongolian friend's daughter's wedding, and was once again touched by the Mongolian people's national sentiment. The Mongolian wedding was the grandest and most infectious I've ever seen, with the most prominent being the Mongolian music, dress and etiquette. Although the living environment of the Mongolians in the city is very different from that of the Mongolians on the grassland, the national sentiment in their hearts is exactly the same. At the wedding, the melodious horse-head-qin music set a festive mood, all Mongolian guests were dressed in colorful Mongolian robes, women's costumes were exquisite and dazzling, bejeweled, the elder men all wore bowler hats of various colors, and the young men were all suave and glowing. Guests meet to salute and embrace, that kind of affectionate scene is not called people moved. The whole wedding ceremony is the main poem in Mongolian, especially in the wedding of the groom's parents gave the couple a set of "Secret History of Mongolia", and said a message in Mongolian, so I y feel the Mongolian blood in the national sentiment.

? I remember one summer, our family went to Xilingol grasslands to see the camel race, the field is located in the endless prairie, surrounded by colorful flags. Some herders rode horses, some rode motorcycles, and some drove from all directions. With a low and shocking trumpet sounding in the firmament of the sky, all the spectators crowded around the field. The magnetic voice of the leading male poet at the opening ceremony was a heart-stopping sound. The camel-riding boys on the racecourse, bare and black, with red headbands on their heads, colorful breeches on their legs, chic belts around their waists, and riding boots, ran around the racecourse, waving their whips. The audience are dressed in festive costumes chasing the camel riders, cheering and shouting for them, each wave of riders down, there will be people for them to offer the hatha to express their blessings. The shouts, applauses and whistles were heard throughout the race, making it a lively and solemn and sacred event. From the face of every Mongolian herdsman present, you can see their enthusiasm, open-mindedness, resilience and sincerity, and feel their love and pride for their nation.

? Over the years, in the interaction with Mongolians, I realized that Mongolians are not as rude as depicted in movies and TV dramas, Mongolians are in fact very fine heart, very friendly, and very emotional. They are good at singing and dancing, warm and hospitable, love life, and have a unique appreciation and pursuit of beauty. They are open-minded, bold, not xenophobic, and love to socialize with other ethnic groups. Once accompanied a mainland teacher to play in the grasslands, the road we were attracted by the beauty of the grasslands, when we feel hungry when it is already past noon meal time, the driver pulled us to a Mongolian family, the family has three brick houses and a yurt, brick houses and yurts in the middle of a cardboard box size of the generator, the family was only middle-aged husband and wife, to see us over to warmly greeted us into the felt, set up a hand-steak meat, milk tea and a variety of milk food, and the family was very happy to see us. The family only had a middle-aged couple who greeted us warmly in the felt room and put on hand-chopped meat, milk tea and various milk foods. After a while, the hostess to find them in the city schooled girls, for us to do the translation, which only solved the siege. In the vast prairie, except for the family we came to I did not see around the other people, but not much effort home and several dressed in Mongolian robes, hand-held horse-head qin men, said they were neighbors. They came in on the right hand on the left chest bending down to perform a greeting, and then and we sat together, played the horse-head qin, drinking up the enthusiasm of the high-pitched sprinkle of song, song is so cheerful and melodious, we eat and drink at the same time also clapping and with their tone? In such a happy atmosphere, we did not realize that it was dark, we were infected by their enthusiasm did not want to leave. We came to the grass, turn on the car headlights, and they danced together, when we left, the grassland has been dark, only the stars in the sky to be the first to twinkle. I sat in the car still immersed in that joyful atmosphere, the tide of the heart can not be calm for a long time.

? Mongolian ancestors live in the vast grasslands, they are very reverent of their own history, they are proud to be the children and grandchildren of Genghis Khan, they are wolves, deer, bears and so on as a totem, and respect for nature. I am often touched by this national sentiment of theirs, and I am glad that I can live among them and be their friend.

? This is my impression of my Mongolian compatriots.
