Narrator: It is now the 14th year of Zhenguan of the Tang Dynasty (640 A.D.), and we are in the area of the Cypress Sea between the Tang and the Tubo. Since Lord Ludongzan sent the news that Emperor Zhenguan of the Great Tang agreed to our request for a marriage proposal from the Tubo, and promised to send the beautiful and kind Princess Wencheng to the Tubo to marry my Zanpou, Songtsen Gampo, my Tubo has celebrated the whole country, and the Zanpou has decided to welcome the Princess to my Tubo in person.
