The Spring Festival in Xiamen will organize a series of cultural activities rich in southern Fujian characteristics, cross-strait **** celebration of the festive season, including 18 professional art performances, 7 square cultural activities, 10 fine arts and photography exhibitions and a number of film exhibitions, book promotional activities, and so on.
From February 9 to 19, Xiamen Song and Dance Drama Theatre, Xiamen South Orchestra, Xiamen Gezai Opera Troupe, Xiamen Jinlian Sheng Gaojia Opera Troupe and many other cultural and artistic groups, will perform a series of traditional opera and special concerts rich in characteristics of the art of southern Fujian, so that the public can fully appreciate the Gezai Opera, Gaojia Opera, and other traditional culture of southern Fujian's artistic charm. From the first to the third, sponsored by the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Culture, "warm Xiamen Spring Festival music" square cultural performances will be held in the Cultural Arts Center, when tens of thousands of people will watch the wonderful cultural performances.
The Xiamen Municipal Museum of Art also offers a rich "visual feast". From February 1, "2007 National Photography Award-winning Works Exhibition" "Xiamen Photographers National Award-winning Works Exhibition" and other oil painting, photography, printmaking, calligraphy series of exhibitions to meet with the audience.
The cross-strait artists*** celebrating the New Year has become a major feature of Xiamen's Spring Festival cultural activities. During the Spring Festival, the Exhibition of Works by Taiwanese Artists who are Members of the French Salon Society and the Cross-Strait Oil Painting Creation Symposium will be held in Xiamen, and dozens of artists from both sides of the Taiwan Strait will ****get together and ****celebrate the traditional national festival together.
