What's the storyline of A Walk in the Clouds?

After the end of World War II, a large number of nostalgic U.S. soldiers embarked on the port of San Francisco to return to the arms of their loved ones. Paul Sutton, however, could not wait for his wife. It was not until the sun was setting that he made his way home, alone and forlorn, but his home had changed. Wife Betty is bent on getting rich, on the return of the expedition husband indifferent, very cold. There is a rift in the relationship between the couple. Paul has no intention of staying at home without any warmth, so he leaves home again to look for work. On the train, Paul met the beautiful girl Victoria Aragon. The two are very close. During the journey, Paul takes good care of Victoria. In gratitude, Victoria told Paul about her unfortunate experience: her family runs a vineyard, her father's thinking is very conservative, and now it's time for a family reunion, but she was abandoned by her boyfriend after she got pregnant.

She doesn't know how to face her family when she returns. Paul decides to help Victoria. He comes up with a plan: he goes home with Victoria as a couple and sneaks out afterward, enabling Victoria to shirk her responsibilities. So Paul and Victoria traveled together to the vineyard with a lovely view. The Aragonese family has a mixed reaction to Paul's arrival. Victoria's father is very unhappy with his daughter's behavior and treats Paul in a tyrannical manner; Victoria's mother and grandmother treat him with courtesy; and Victoria's grandfather, the patriarch Don Petro, is very fond of Paul. At night, Paul and Victoria pretend to be affectionate in front of their families, but when they go to bed, they share the same bed. After nightfall, bonfires were lit in the vineyard to keep the cold out of the grapes with the hot smoke. Paul joined Victoria in the labor.

He was y attracted by the beautiful scenery in the vineyard. At the same time, love began to develop between him and Victoria. At Don Petro's invitation, Paul, who wanted to leave quietly, decided to wait until the harvest ceremony of picking grapes was over. Paul labored with the people. Life here captivated him. In the celebratory atmosphere, Paul picked up Victoria, the two embraced and kissed together. The fire of love burns in their hearts. At the dinner, Victoria's father announced the happy news of Paul and Victoria. However, Paul remembered that he still has a wife, he must return to her side. So he left without saying goodbye and returned to San Francisco. But when he returns home, he realizes that his wife has already had another love. Paul was relieved to sign the divorce papers, and then hoofed it back to the Vineyard, to Victoria's side.
