Original text:

Teenagers are more affectionate on holidays, but when they get older, they will feel sad.

It's useless, but just pray for wine and wine.

The silk in the sideburns is getting whiter every day, and the pomegranate is getting brighter every year.

Thousands of years of sages and fools are instantaneous, and several people are lost in several names.

Translation:

When I was a child, I always loved to give birth to many emotions in festivals. Now that I am old, who still has the mind to be filled with emotions for no reason?

I don't want to follow the custom of hanging wormwood to exorcise evil spirits. I just want to drink a cup of ordinary wine, and the world is at peace.

The white hair on the temples is increasing day by day, and pomegranate flowers are like red brocade, which should bloom every year;

In the face of years, sages and fools are fleeting passers-by. Who knows how many people are in obscurity and how many people go down in history?

Precautions:

Teenager: young.

Eve: wormwood exorcism.

Pomegranate: pomegranate flower.

Sage and Fool: Sages are fools.

Demote: Go down in history.

Appreciate:

At that time, the author was old, and "failure to become a vulgar" was not only insufficient, but also contained helplessness and sadness behind the excitement. At that time, the Anshi Rebellion had passed, just before and after Yuan and Zhongxing. Although the living conditions of the people had improved, the author foresaw the inevitability of the conflict between eunuchs and vassal towns in the late Tang Dynasty because of his old age and infirmity, so even at the Dragon Boat Festival, he was lazy and miserable, hoping that "Pujiu Hua would be razed to the ground."

It is for the reasons mentioned above that he expressed the feeling that time flies and several people are immortal. This poem is pessimistic, but through it, we can get a glimpse of the late Tang Dynasty from the author's point of view.
