Social dance is an international social dance that originated in the west, also known as social dance, party dance, social dance and social dance.
Originated in Europe, it evolved on the basis of ancient folk dance. Since 16 and 17 centuries, ballroom dancing has become a common social activity in European countries, so it is known as the "world language". After the 1920s, ballroom dancing became popular all over the world, so it was also called "international dance".
Ancient China
From the Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD) to the Wei and Jin Dynasties (220 AD-265 AD) and the Jin Dynasty (265 AD-420 AD), in order to enliven the atmosphere, contact feelings and enhance friendship, a social invitation dance called "Dancing as in-laws" was popular at banquets of officials and nobles in China.
At a banquet, the host usually dances first during the banquet, and then invites another person to continue dancing after the dance. After the second person finishes dancing, invite another person to continue dancing, and so on.
The invitee must dance in return. If the invitee refuses to dance, it is considered very impolite and disrespectful to the inviter. In the Tang Dynasty (6 18- 907 AD), a kind of social dance called "Daling" was also popular, which was a custom dance when ordering wine at aristocratic banquets.
