The Smurfs Song.
This is a song written by Qu Cong and composed by Zheng Qiufeng, and is the Chinese theme song of the animated film The Smurfs introduced by Guangdong Television in 1983.
In 1985, the song won the Silver Prize in the First National Competition of Children's Song Works. In August 1986, the song won the Excellence Prize in the Guangdong Province Children's and Young People's Songs Evaluation Award. In October 1986, the song won the Music Prize in the Second Lu Xun Literature and Art Award.
In 1983, Guangdong Television introduced the animated film "The Smurfs", following the popular practice in Hong Kong at that time of giving foreign animated films local theme songs. Guangdong TV especially invited the Guangzhou Military Region Political Department Warrior Song and Dance Troupe to compose the theme song. Because it was the first time to create a Chinese song for a foreign animated film, and because it was "for the children to do", the troupe attached great importance to it, and the then head of the troupe, Qu Cong, and the then deputy head of the troupe, Zheng Qiufeng, joined forces.
Qu Zeng thought the cartoon was a Japanese production, so he wrote a song with Japanese lyrics, while Zheng Qiu Feng composed a tune with a strong Yamato flavor. After handing in the script, they realized they had made a mistake. In just half a day, they rewrote another one and came up with "The Smurf Song" .
Song Appreciation
The lyrics of "The Smurf Song" are an example of a song that is full of childlike innocence and fun, celebrating and honoring the lovely Smurfs through the eyes of an adult. The lyrics are completely "white", telling a story full of children's innocence and fun, but also portraying a group of Smurfs who are kind, brave, and very friendly on behalf of the children.
The Smurfs' Song is full of vibrant beauty and free-spirited joy. Even if it is to write the battle of wits and bravery scene, is also a lightweight swing: "they work together to use their brains, defeated Gargamel". This is in line with the nature of unrestrained children, but also this song can let the children like to sing along, and no effort to memorize the important reasons .
