Boarding Guazhou
Song Dynasty: Wang Anshi
Jingkou and Guazhou are just separated by a water, and Zhongshan has only a few heavy green mountains.
Jiang Nanan spring breeze is green, when will the bright moon shine on me?
Standing at Guazhou Ferry, looking south, there is only one Yangtze River between Jingkou and Guazhou, and Zhongshan, where I live, is hidden behind several mountains. The warm spring breeze once again blew the fields in the south of the Yangtze River green. When will the bright moon shine on me and return to my home at the foot of Zhongshan Mountain?

Extended data
This poem was written by Wang Anshi in his later years, but the exact time has been controversial. It is said that the poet went to Beijing as a bachelor of Hanlin and passed through Guazhou. He was depressed when he left Beijing for the first time and wrote it when he went to Beijing again to pay homage.
The last two sentences of the poem "Spring breeze is green in Jiang Nanan, when will the bright moon shine on me" can be literally translated as: the gentle spring breeze blows all over the fields in the south of the Yangtze River, but when will you shine on me to go home? But the poet is not only a knowledgeable writer, but also a politician with unique vision.
Moreover, he advocated that literature should serve the society, pay attention to realism, and always hoped to realize his political ideal, which has penetrated into the poet's bone marrow. When he took office in Beijing, he was one step closer to his political ambition.
As a person whose heart is always for the country and the people, his heart should be happy, and some feelings of parting caused by being far away from home may not necessarily conform to the poet's true thoughts.
Therefore, the creation time in the second statement seems to be more in line with the poet's mood, and the translation of the last sentence "Huan" seems to be more appropriate than "coming back", which implies that he hopes to return to Beijing to continue the New Deal.
