Do foreigners have Chinese New Year?

There is no Chinese New Year in foreign countries

But foreign countries treat Christmas as if it were Chinese New Year! For them, Christmas is the "Spring Festival"! (*^__^*) hee hee ......O(∩_∩)O~

The Spring Festival is celebrated in different countries and regions with different traditions and customs. In the Czech Republic and

Slovakia, especially in the villages of South Moravia and Slovakia, there is

a legend that the cold is brought by Queen Morana, so villagers make straw men with rags on them and call them " Morana". Morana", and then sing a song

while holding her towards the river or lake, "Morana" will be thrown into the water "drowning",

firmly believe that the winter will return in the spring. Zurich, Switzerland, to welcome the Spring Festival, held from April 18 to

19 each year, when people dressed in gorgeous classical gowns, 18th-century maiden

clothing, noblewomen's horseback riding costumes, etc., holding flowers in hand, excited to participate in the evening to hold

burning the "snowman" to send the Winter Welcome Spring Ceremony. Greece's Spring Festival is May 1, in order to celebrate

Wishing this lively holiday, people in the festival before the group to the field to collect fresh

flowers, woven garlands hung in front of the house. Some people also hang strings of garlic or pomegranate branches

to "drive out evil" and welcome the arrival of spring. In rural areas of some European countries,

eggs, symbolizing the beginning of life, are placed on the dinner table during the holiday season. The shells of the used eggs are scattered into the furrows between the fields for a good harvest. The boys

woke up early in the morning and went from house to house, chasing the girls around the yards, lashing their dresses with small

willow whips, and they returned the favor with eggs. The lashing

is said to make them always as beautiful as spring. From the afternoon to the evening, the festival reaches its climax, when men, women and children in colorful national costumes gather to raise their glasses, drink and dance to welcome the return of spring.

The year before last, I was in Venice, Italy, just in time for the Spring Carnival,

St. Mark's Square into a sea of joy. People dressed in strange costumes, some also wear

with funny masks, make fun of each other. The theme of the various programs was

mostly a reflection of the duel between life and death as winter turns to spring, with the result that spring always replaces

winter and life triumphs over death. This is a wish and a belief that people who have experienced

winter are longing for the arrival of spring.
