In the same year, Chuxiong, Nanhua, Mouding and Shuangbai counties merged into Chuxiong County, Yao 'an, Dayao, Yanfeng and Yongren counties merged into Dayao County, Roots, Lufeng and Guangtong counties merged into Lufeng County, Wuding and Yuanmou counties merged into Wuding County, and Fumin County was designated as Kunming City.
During the period of 1959 ~ 196 1, the six counties of Yongren, Yao 'an, Nanhua, Shuangbai, Mouding and Yuanmou were successively restored.
