The Bamboo Dance was first known as the Chai Dance, which was first performed as a ritual for the Li Haing people, and could only be danced during the funeral period, and there were many taboos. At the same time, the bustle of the Bamboo Dance could chase away the evil spirits, not only letting the departed go back to their home happily, but also easing the grief of their relatives' parting. Now the "Chai Dance" has been processed and organized, has been moved to the stage, screen and the sports field, become the Li dance and sports, after processing, adaptation, Chai Dance props from the wooden stick into a bamboo pole, so it is also named "Bamboo Pole Dance".
The basic technique of the bamboo pole dance
1, the basic posture: the bamboo strikers 3-5 pairs of people, located at the ends of the thin pole, the distance between the left and right is wider than an arm, the double system kneeling on the ground, the hips sit back, the two people opposite to a pair of poles.
2, the grip of the bamboo pole: one hand holding a pole. When hitting the pole, the two hands slightly staggered back and forth, to the extent that the bamboo poles touch each other and do not touch the hand.
3. Kneeling down to hit the pole: open strike: both hands open to hit the thick pole with a thin pole; close strike: both hands together to hit the thick pole with a thin pole.
