Good emotions have a positive impact on the body, while bad emotions have a negative impact. The "medicinal" value of a good mood is immeasurable.
The powerful influence of good mood
Case 1
Dr. Paul White of Boston, one of the leading cardiologists in the United States, was the first to notice person of this fact.
Dr. White gave examples to illustrate his point in the December 1951 "Annals of Internal Medicine". Dr. White had a patient, a young mother of two who had an alcoholic, good-for-nothing husband. She suffered from severe rheumatic fever. She had been in bed for three years, and doctors determined she had at most a year to live.
Today, the young woman can receive ATCH or cortisone injections to improve her condition. But of course that wasn't feasible at the time this story took place.
The young woman's mood remained dangerously low. Even as her condition improved, she remained critically ill. But misfortune soon followed, and her husband went to an unknown place, leaving the woman and two children behind, leaving nothing behind. The patient suffered this change, but instead came out of his depression.
When Dr. White came to see her, she said firmly: "Doctor, I have decided to get better. I have to work to raise my two children."
Dr. White responded, "Dear Madam, I wish you could, but your heart won't be able to hold on."
Now, it's important to note that it wasn't that Dr. White underestimated her heart. Tolerance. Professionals like Dr. Paul White can accurately determine the condition of a heart simply by examining it. But Dr. White underestimated the physiological effects of ATCH (which was unknown at the time) and the possibility that certain emotions could stimulate ATCH to produce normal hormones. Against Dr. White's advice, the young mother got up and went to work with courage, determination, enthusiasm, and joy. She raised her two children for eight years before passing away.
The mother in the story was depressed because of her alcoholic husband. After her husband passed away, she became optimistic and positive. Her life span was extended by 8 years despite a serious heart disease, which proves that a good mood is a good medicine.
I have also encountered a story around me. Little A got stomach cancer and had an operation. At that time, the family only had a cyst in the stomach. After returning home, Little A lived a normal life and still had cysts. Lived for another 4 years.
If Little A knew the true situation, I don’t know how long she would live.
I work for a mobile company, and I once met a user with terminal cancer. He told me that after he knew he had cancer, he said that I should live the way I want every day, and get up every day. Run, no matter the wind or rain, no matter the season. Dance square dance and practice Tai Chi every day. When you want to travel, just leave, because it may be the last day. But when I met him, it was already the sixth year of his illness. Optimism and a happy mood are undoubtedly the best medicine.
I hope everyone can be optimistic when encountering things.
