Then my friend wants to say, I don't recommend you to learn animation design. Why?
First of all, many students studying this industry are like you. They are interested in and like animation culture, but actually doing animation is different from watching animation and doing it by hand. Learning animation design can enter the animation industry or draw cartoons by yourself, but it is particularly hard to do animation and draw cartoons. In addition, both of them should have hand-drawing skills. I don't know if you are an art student, but there may be a way out for art students to enter animation design. If you are not majoring in animation design, it will be very difficult for you. Many assignments in college courses are related to hand drawing, which is also very difficult. I have met too many students who like watching animation but don't like making animation at all, so I must find out whether I like to enjoy animation culture or yearn for making animation culture.
In addition, I want to say that the animation design major of Tucao University is not professional enough, especially in junior college. What you have learned is superficial. Maybe after three or four years of college, your hand-drawing is still a mess, and the software is not easy to use, and then you graduate. Unless you especially love this major and study hard, you may still have some skills after three or four years. Otherwise, you will only be unemployed after graduation.
As for the prospect, the wages in the animation industry will be relatively low, and the game industry has a good prospect. Learning animation design can also enter the game industry. The game industry is a high-paying industry, and the prospects are no problem. The problem is that the threshold of the game industry is very high. Maybe what you want after graduation is very mature original painting design, game interface design, role modeling, scene modeling and so on.
However, the students majoring in animation design are not good at modeling and hand drawing, and they can't meet the requirements of others at all, so it is difficult to find a job as soon as they graduate. Only by consolidating skills through retraining can we successfully enter the industry. Basically, it is difficult to rely on what the school teaches, unconsciously.
The final summary is:
1, find out whether you like to appreciate animation culture or make animation culture. If you just like to enjoy the animation culture, you don't have to joke about your future.
You'd better be an art student and like drawing, designing and making, otherwise it will be difficult to learn this major.
3. Ordinary universities should not apply for this major, but should apply for animation design in the Academy of Fine Arts.
The above is the voice of an animation design student.
