Zhang Yingzhe, the lead singer behind the scenes
In the early 1990s, "Beijing Daily" published an article about Shougang workers looking for the original singer of this song However, Zhang Yingzhe, the real original singer of "Hymn to Heroes" and a soloist of the Kongzheng Song and Dance Troupe, saw the newspaper but did not come forward to "claim" it.
Because she has never liked to publicize herself, and is in poor health, suffering from cerebral thrombosis and heart disease, she has never been in people's sight. Just before the publication of this article, when reporters were conducting phone interviews, many people, including several famous singers who later sang "Hymn to Heroes", still couldn't agree on the original singer of the song, and some even said for sure : The original singer is definitely not Zhang Yingzhe!
