How to choose between exercise and health care?

First of all, the expected goals of health preservation and exercise are different. Sports pursue strength, and health preservation pursues health. The ancient Greek Olympic Games was designed to train soldiers. In order to improve soldiers' interest in combat training, the goal is to be faster, higher and stronger. Under the operational conditions at that time, the soldiers' strong physique would have a great or even decisive impact on the outcome of some battles. China Wushu contains competitive sports aimed at improving soldiers' combat effectiveness, and folk wrestling, catching sheep and playing with stone locks also belong to this category. Wushu and folk competitive sports do not belong to health preservation, and even have opposite goals.

However, physical fitness and skills training are still needed, not only for soldiers, but also for daily work, but the improvement of physical fitness and skills may be harmful to health. What should I do? Martial arts practitioners not only use games instead of competitive sports as a means to moderately improve their skills, but also practice kung fu. China's fitness campaign started very early. According to legend, Dayu created Yubu, which is said to be a Taoist step in the ceremony. Hua tuo's wuqinxi is clearly recorded. In the long process of evolution, the introduction finally merged with Wushu, forming Tai Ji Chuan and his theory.

Secondly, the concept of health care is different from that of physical exercise. Strictly speaking, physical education stresses exercise, while health care stresses practice. From the perspective of healthy culture, exercise is just harmful to health. Because overpressure is just like overloading a machine, it may get a temporary extraordinary gain, but it will inevitably damage the life of the machine. From the perspective of health preservation, health is mainly the health of internal organs, because diseases of internal organs may endanger life. Even if limbs are short and muscles are cut, it is harmless to survival as long as it is handled properly. Health preservation defines health from the perspective of survival.

Therefore, from the inside out, cultivation has two meanings: to communicate, coordinate and balance with the external environment by filling the internal qi, to remove excessive subjective feelings and to adapt to natural changes. In terms of cultivation methods, the mind adapts to the inner movement of Qi, which drives the movement of the body, such as Tai Ji Chuan's "Guiding with Meaning, Breathing with Meaning, and Reaching with Meaning", which is a self-created work in Qigong.
